Hello All,
Renewal opportunities that are being created are not matching the prior opportunities due to rounding errors.
Users are using the total customer amount field to put a certain dollar amount and it sometimes uses more than 2 decimals points, it gets to the amount that is needed on that quote. But for the renewal opportunity that is created the opp line items are off by a few dollars due to rounding.
Besides switching the Unit Sale Price from 2 to 4, is there another way so the Renewal Opportunity will match the Prior Opportunity?
Hi, this seems to be a new error post Summer upgrade. When multiple contracts are being co-termed, I get this error - "The contract chosen as Master is already coterminated. Remove cotermination from the master contract or choose a different master contract that hasn't been coterminated and try again.".
Some of the contracts have been renewed individually.. but now being tried to co-term.
What is this error is above? How to resolve?
TIA
Regards,
Manju
Did you get any update of the CPQ support team ? I'm currently facing the same issue for my org.
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards, Thibaut
Hello CPQ experts! I was hoping you could help me with an issue I am running into.
For the Renewal Product Option, there seems to be a step missing in the documentation. When I set it up per the instructions, it brings both the original Product Option and the Renewal one over in the Quote (before the first Contract is even created). I have the Renewal Product on the Product and it matches that of the Renewal Product Options. All Price Book Entries/Currencies correspond to each other. Everything in the documentation is done yet it is not working properly. I also tried it in my own Dev org that is not multi-currency thinking that could be the issue since the Product Option object is not fully supported with multi-currency however I run into the same issue. Can you provide any direction/resolution? This is a huge requirement for one of my clients. Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi All - I've found little to no information about removing Quote Lines for Assets on Renewals. I've checked the Allow Renewal Quotes Without Assets box - but this is only showing the Assets at $0.00 on the Renewal. Is there an out of the box way to just remove them? Thanks in advance!
Hi all,
I need to create a renewal opportunity based on order parameters.
I try to explain:
- An order is related to each opportunity. On the order object there is the ACTIVATED field (checkbox)
- (one or more) OrderProduct are related to an Order
- Evry OrderProduct line have startdate and enddate
So, when an order has ACTIVATED field checked, I need to create an opportunity and then relate to that opportunity the same product present in the OrderProduct object.
WARNING: if more OrderProducts are related to an Order Activated I need to create more opportunities (on for each and date).
Example:
Opportunity A --> Order X --> OrderProduct 1 EndDate = 31/12/2020
--> OrderProduct 2 EndDate = 31/12/2020
--> OrderProduct 3 EndDate = 10/10/2020
In this case, I need to create 2 opportunities:
- Opp B (with product 1 and 2)
- Opp C (with product 3)
I hope is clear.
Can anyone help me?
Tks :-)
Related to Contract, Subscription , Amendements and Renewals.
We are planning to use Salesforce CPQ (for Quoting process) and NetSuite (for Contract Renewal Process). As a result subscription records won't be created by CPQ as the contract creation will sit with NetSuite.
Salesforce CPQ does not do amendments or renewals correctly if subscription records are not created on the contract.
Because of the above design we have to try and find a way to create subscriptions records manually when the contract creation is trigerred by Netsuite into Salesforce
Question
1) Has anyone tried creating subscriptions using custom logic or tricked CPQ logic into creating subscription records on an already created contract?
2) On renewal the existing contract subscriptions records are updated with renewal information which is then carried forward to the renewal Opportunity line items and Quote - Quote Line item , which due to the design change has to be done using custom code
Any suggestion or ideas on the above?
Thanks
tough situation. I would normally recommend the same as the others, but you have to work with what your company is insisting.
Breadwinner for NetSuite (our own app) might help here. We have a number of customers with similar (though not identical) situations where the source of truth has to be in NetSuite. What we can do is bring in your NetSuite data more robustly than other integrations. And, we can allow for NetSuite record creation initiated in Salesforce from either a wizard or your Apex.
If you'd like a demo, you can book one at

I am seeing mixed results: One time it says, there are no active subscriptions to renew and other times, it renews with no errors.
Documentation doesn't really say any criteria for renewing a contract.
When CPQ generates a Renewal on a Subscription Product set to Renewable but the product becomes deactivated it seems to bring it over to the Renewal. This makes sense to me as grandfathered products and all that jazz but the use case we have is that products that are deactivated might no longer be sold or can even be sold so we don't want them to move over to the renewal or the renewal quote. I couldn't find much on this in the CPQ doc but maybe I missed it, would love to hear any input or napkin solutions.
Hi All, How do we make sure a renewal is automatically created for an opportunity that has a non-subscription product .
We have both products (sub & non-sub) and we need renewals created for both type of opportunities but I assume only opportunities with subscription products can have renewal created automatically (Oppty>contract>renewal) ?
Can anyone please let me know how to handle this setup?
Thanks in Advance.
