Can you check the dependencies as well inside the workspace. How the step is defined. Is it per order or order item?

Hello,
I'm currently facing some challenges while mapping CPQ fields to RLM.
The fields on the CPQ Quote Line object are:
- Hidden__c
- OptionType__c
- Optional__c
Could you please suggest the equivalent fields in RLM for these, or let me know if there's any additional setup or configuration that I might be missing?
From my research, I found that RLM has a Visibility field on the Quote Line object, which seems to be similar to the Hidden__c field in CPQ. However, Visibility is a picklist field, whereas Hidden__c is a checkbox. Would it be correct to map these two fields?
I'm also unable to identify equivalent fields for OptionType__c and Optional__c.
Additionally, I have a question regarding quote calculations.
In Salesforce CPQ, the List Amount on the Quote is calculated as the total List Amount of all non-optional quote line items. Since I couldn't find an equivalent Optional field in RLM, could you please clarify how this calculation is handled in RLM?
Any guidance or recommended approach for handling these mappings and calculations in RLM would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Oggi, alle 07:02 Hi Janhavi, good questions.
On Hidden__c to Visibility: the mapping makes sense, but since Visibility is a picklist and Hidden__c is a checkbox, it's not a straight one to one. You'll need a transformation, for example Hidden__c = true maps to the picklist value that hides the line. The intent carries over, but you can't copy the value directly.
On OptionType__c and Optional__c: here I'm sharing what I'd test rather than something I've done myself. My understanding is RLM doesn't carry these as flat Quote Line fields like CPQ. That behavior seems to live at the product/bundle model level (component definitions and config rules) rather than one field per line, so I'd check there. Worth validating in a sandbox.
On the List Amount calculation: also my belief, worth testing. In CPQ the optional flag drives the rollup. I'd expect RLM to handle totals through the pricing procedure rather than a flat Optional field, so the non-optional only logic would live in the pricing setup, not on the line. I'd confirm in your org.
Worth noting the CPQ managed package is now in maintenance mode with Salesforce pointing to Revenue Cloud/RLM, so these are the right questions to be asking. Values can shift by release, so cross check the current RLM docs.
I've been digging into CPQ to RLM migrations lately, so happy to go deeper on the pricing procedure or bundle mapping. Feel free to reply or connect with me directly.
I have an Extended Context Definition that uses the standard QuoteEntitiesMapping and OrderEntitiesMapping.
My requirement is to use a custom field (Custom_Start_Date__c) on the Quote Line Item and map it to SalesTransactionItem.StartDate. I want the standard downstream mapping to remain unchanged so that SalesTransactionItem.StartDate continues to populate the Order Item Start Date through the standard OrderEntitiesMapping.
The issue is that the standard QuoteEntitiesMapping already maps the standard QLI Start Date to SalesTransactionItem.StartDate, and I can't remove, deactivate, or modify that standard mapping.
To work around this, I cloned QuoteEntitiesMapping and added the following mapping:
QuoteLineItem.Custom_Start_Date__c ->SalesTransactionItem.StartDate However, I can't find a way to make the cloned mapping active/default or disable the standard QuoteEntitiesMapping. I also tried using Pricing Parameters, but they don't appear to affect Context Definition entity mappings.
Has anyone successfully overridden a standard entity mapping in a Context Definition? Is there a supported way to make a cloned QuoteEntitiesMapping the active mapping?
Ieri, 11:05 I Am able to create a mapping between STI and OI by cloning OrderEntitiesMapping but still not able to understand how we can ovverride the OrderEntitiesMapping which is standard as there is no option to choose or activate , making it standard isn't fruitful as salesforce recommends the ST mapping to set as default.
When a quote is created using the create ramp schedule button and later amended, Ramp schdule-1 Which is a Parent Group appears at center instead of at the top.

When amendment or renewal quote are created, the original discount/sales price is not taken into account. The next asset state period created does not have the discount field populated.
Do I have to make additional configuration in the pricing procedure to cater for this ?
9 lug, 07:15 agreed. To address this they're utilizing the Total Adjustment Amount field but still not user friendly.
Whats the response from SF in order to display Discount value?
**IsSyncing = true set in Flow but Quote always saves as false ā platform limitation or am I missing something?** Hi everyone, I have a Screen Flow that creates a Quote from an Opportunity. The requirement is straightforward: if no Quote exists yet for the Opportunity, set IsSyncing = true on the newly created Quote so it syncs automatically. Here's what I've built: 1. **Get Opportunity** ā fetch the Opportunity record 2. **Get Quotes Related to Opportunity** ā fetch any existing Quote linked to the Opportunity 3. **New Quote screen** ā user fills in quote details 4. **Assignment** ā map screen values to a Quote SObject variable, including: - Formula: `IF(ISBLANK({!Get_Quots_Related_to_Opportunity.Id}), true, false)` ā assigned to `quoteRecordInstance.IsSyncing` 5. **Create Quote** ā insert the SObject variable The formula evaluates correctly (confirmed via debug), the assignment runs, but the created Quote record always has IsSyncing = false. No fault/error is thrown. **What I've already checked:** - Formula logic is correct ā it resolves to `true` when no prior Quote exists - The assignment element runs before Create Quote (confirmed via flow debug log) - No other automation (trigger, process builder) is overwriting it after creation - No fault connector fires **Questions:** 1. Is `IsSyncing` a system-controlled field that Salesforce silently ignores when set via Flow DML? 2. If so, is a two-step Apex approach (insert Quote ā update IsSyncing = true) the only supported workaround? 3. Has anyone successfully set IsSyncing programmatically without going through the standard UI sync button? Running API version 67.0. Any guidance appreciated!
8 lug, 13:20 That field is not write-able
You have to write to the syncedquoteID field on the related opp.
I have the following nested bundle:
- Parent Product A
- Product B
- Usage Monthly
- One time Fee
- Product B
In this bundle, Usage Monthly is used for overage calculation through the Transaction Journal.
In our scenario, the Sales Rep will be selling upfront licenses at a negotiated price, and payment for these upfront licenses will be made in advance.
For example, suppose the Sales Rep closes a deal with a customer for 100 upfront licenses (which eventually become a grant). We capture this quantity in the Quantity field of the parent product (Product B) quote line item. The negotiated price for these licenses is applied using an Adjustment at the quote line level.
My question is: How will this quantity and the negotiated price be updated in QuoteLineItmUseRsrcGrant if I do not add the grant through the "Manage Usage Resources" popup?
Do we have Out of the box feature to cover this functionality in ARM ? Or If there is any other way to achieve this scenario ?
9 lug, 05:19 Hey @Ravi Gautam you need to create a Transaction Processing Type with Rating Preference set to Fetch and set the Transaction Processing as default in Revenue Setting.
Hi all,
I am testing the amendment of assets and the Amendment Quote process worked well but when I tried to use the 'Create Order' button, I got this error
Error element Create_Orders_From_Quote (FlowActionCall).
refAppUsageAssignment0: duplicate value found: RecordId duplicates value on record with id: 0j8VF00000572YUYAY
That id seems to be linked to an AppUsageAssignment record. I'm using the standard Salesforce 'Create Orders From Quote' flow. The only place where I do anything with the Application Usage is when I reference the App Usage Type of RevenueLifecycleManagement in a flow to create Assets from Activated Orders. (pic below)
I don't know why there would be a duplicate AppUsageAssignment - maybe I created some kind of loop from creating the assets from orders and now the amendment process doesn't like trying to reference back to an already created asset with a new order? I thought using the standard Salesforce flow would help prevent errors with the amendment process.
Has anyone encountered this or have recommendations for how to get around the error? I'm worried trying to create something customized will really start messing with the standard functionality.
Thanks!

Ok, I'm still encountering the error and for every error message I'm getting a new refAppUsageAssignment record ID.. All of my Application Usage Types are 'RevenueLifecycleManagement' which is what all SF help documents say it should be.
I have a custom flow to create orders but it does not assign an Application Usage Type. All of my Quotes, Orders, Assets etc have Revenue Lifecycle Management as the Application Usage Type. I wouldn't think that having the assignment should mess with an Amendment Order being created.
Should I try adding a 'Get Records' for Application Usage Assignment so that the flow knows this is already created before it tries to say there is a duplicate? Or does a new AppUsage need to be created for amendments/renewals? If so, what is that? Because all I have seen is that it should be Revenue Lifecycle Management..
Thanks so much!!
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a project where franchisees (Partner Community users) need to create Quotes directly from an Experience Cloud site using Revenue Cloud Advanced (Browse Catalog, product configuration, add products to Quote, etc.).
I have a few questions regarding supportability:
- Are RCA objects, data model and runtime features officially supported for Partner Community users?
- Is the standard Browse Catalog / Product Discovery experience supported in Experience Cloud?
- Has anyone successfully implemented the complete quote creation experience (browse catalog, configure products and create quote lines) for external users?
I couldn't find clear documentation on the supported scope of RCA for Experience Cloud users and I have some errors when trying to make it work. I would like to avoid Over-customization
Any feedback or experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
7 lug, 07:28 Hello, thanks for your answer. Yeah I saw a lot of limitations with licenses/permission sets. However, I asked to @Michael Kiruba-Raja
from Salesforce, he told me thats its possible to make it work. We just need to create a custom permission set and enable manually the object settings and user permissions.
I'm currently trying to make it work, I have an error when trying to configure products with attributes on the browse catalog in experience cloud. I'm getting closer.
I opened a case, I will wait.
I need to map a custom field from Product Related Component to QuoteLineItem, hence SalesTransaction.
Which Context Definition to update ? and which mapping ?
Is there any existing mapping ?
Thank you.
6 lug, 02:05 @Jayaprakash . Did you work this one out? I want to use the "DoesBundlePriceIncludeChild" field from ProductRelatedComponent in the Pricing Procedure. I am confused about how to map this field in the context definitions.
Here's my requirement: I have a static bundle with predefined child products. I enabled the DoesBundlePriceIncludeChild field for these products to show Net Unit Price and Net Total Price as $0 on the TLE. I want to show the price only at the Bundle Parent level. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for this requirement. Thanks
