I need a way to track recurring activities that our constituents are completing. For example, we want to track actions contacts are taking such as calling an elected official or submitting a story. These are actions that could happen multiple times and would need a time stamp (and therefore does not make sense to make a it a custom field on the contact record). 

What are some options or suggestions of how we could track this? I am envisioning something similar to the activity timeline, but instead of logging a call or an email, we're able to log these 'actions'. I am having trouble understanding how to set up something like this though or if it's even possible (e.g. customize the activity capabilities, create a custom object, something else all together?). I don't know what I don't know! 

Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated!

I am working on Integrate salesforce with slack module in npsp . I installed the package, connected org, assigned the slack std user permission set to myself. I am getting the error that permission set is not assigned to the system admin-myself. Any pointers to fix this? Where is the mistake? Thanks
