#Outlook Email0 personne en discute

Hi all,

I'm using View to log mail in Salesforce.

I realized that emails that I don't log directly from the outlook side panel are also saved in salesforce.

Can anyone explain to me why?

Can I avoid it?

Tks

So you use Lightning Sync to sync the calendar events... and then the Add-In to log emails, but every email is logging (so long as it finds the contact in SF)? I'm afraid I've got nothin =/

Hi everyone:

Given that the "Salesforce for Outlook" integration is being discontinued December 2020, I am trying to start my Sales Reps on the new Outlook Integration (or Lightning Sync; I'm not entirely clear on the differences yet).

However, this does not seem to work if our company domain is not hosted on Office 365, or if our Sales Reps want to use the Desktop Outlook app, does it?

Please let me know how your companies are dealing with this; I greatly appreciate and look forward to your insights.

Thank you in advance!

We are on office 365. We use the desktop app. You just have to download the side panel from the MS app store, or work through your MS Office Admin.

Outlook integration is the email side of the integration. Lightning sync falls more on the event/contact sync side. Contact sync was a nightmare in testing, and my research showed that most people avoid it due to some odd temperamental behaviors.

My biggest suggestion would be to roll it out to a small group, and then add users incrementally, don't do it all at once, as we've now been dealing with issues for 3 months now periodically that all come back to lightning sync.

Hi all,

I have Email enhancement and Salesforce for Outlook enabled.

Unfortunately, I made a mistake to relate a mail to opportunity.

Now I'm unable to correct that and relate the mail to the correct opportunity.

Someone can help me?

tks

    Tks Anthony,

I was looking for a solution in Salesforce (maybe changing some related list on the EmailMessage Object), but the solution was in the Outlook side panel.

    Tks a lot

I have 3 users with MS Office 2010 (they are contractors using their own equipment). Is there an Outlook email archiving tool compatible with Salesforce Lightining Experience?

Not sure why suddenly few users started facing the issue, while sync the outlook email to sales force.

I've also been scratching my head on this since diving into the Outlook Integration and with the help of this Answer discovered a setup option in Lightning under Administration>Email called "Outlook Integration and Sync" that has a slider to "Use Enhanced Email" with Outlook" that solved my issue.

With "Use Enhanced Email with Outlook" enabled in addition to being able to log emails while sending all logged emails going forward have a new email style template that more closely resembles an email.

Is there a best practice for tracking Pardot links from Outlook email sends? Thanks!

Hearing that Outlook will start to support animated gifs in email (like Moveable Ink or a countdown timer). Has anyone seen animated gifs in their Outlook email these days?

Great, I'm seeing it in Outlook 365! ^^

However, I suggest first embedding the GIFs directly into your email code rather than through a 3rd-party tool.

I'd start with one image, test, rinse and repeat then scale up to countdown timers and test everything again.

I'm glad Outlook is catching up but they should innovate faster! ^^

Still, Outlook uses split-rendering engines - WebKit, IE, and Mso- across all email clients. -_-
