field appears not editable for me to enter dollar amount of percentage of partial soft credit

Hi Nicole,
This may be due to not going in and giving yourself (if you are the Admin) visibility and access to the fields. When using Soft Credits and Partial Soft Credits there are certain fields you need to give yourself access to. Go in and check, however if you need help you can always go in, create a case, and support can help. To see how click on the link below:
