In the Salesforce mobile app, can a custom LWC "Download" button save a file (ContentDocument) directly to the phone's storage?

Right now it only opens the native file viewer.

Thanks Usman. We're already using that approach: NavigationMixin with standard__namedPage / pageName "filePreview", passing recordIds and selectedRecordId. In the Salesforce mobile app it opens the native file viewer, and the user still has to tap Share and then Save to get the file onto the phone.

What I'm trying to confirm: is there any supported way, standard or custom, for an LWC button in the Salesforce mobile app to save the file straight to device storage without going through the native viewer? Or is the native viewer the only option the app supports? A doc reference either way would really help.

Is it possible to trigger Pardot to capture data when someone downloads a file on a website? Someone on our marketing department's web team wants to utilize Java script to make this happen.

If anyone has experience with triggering as a result of file downloads, whether using Java or not, I would appreciate your advice/ expertise. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Our client is utilizing a Salesforce community as their new website, mostly focused on the creation of cms content and articles. For now, they're pretty happy with the adoption

However, what would be the best practice regarding the public download of a file?

Example, in a public community how can i allow guest user to download a file like a pdf , available inside a specific page?

Thanks for the answer!

@Nicolò Carafa you can create a public link for a file to allow guest users to access it (which is what Akash mentioned) or alternatively, if you're community is public, you can upload files in the community (such as part of a topic or group), and if the guest user can access those entities, they could access the related files.

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to mass download attachments? Some of our customers have multiple forms that are attached in SFDC and the team would like to be able to download altogether and not 1 by 1.

Thank you in advance :)

Hi All, is there a way we can have a "Download files" button on Opportunity record and download the attached files as zip file?
