Hi everyone,
We create email templates regularly in Account Engagement automations. I always select for these to be available as 1:1 emails as well. I assumed this meant they would show up in Salesforce as email templates users could select when emailing a contact, however they do not. Do you think this is an issue with our settings? Or is this a problem with the way Account Engagement and Salesforce are integrated? Thank you so much in advance for your help!
If you want reps to send these from Salesforce with Account Engagement tracking, use the Engage feature. Reps send via the "Send Account Engagement Email" button on the record, which does show your 1:1 Account Engagement templates and tracks engagement (opens/clicks) back to Account Engagement. This is the intended path and probably what you're really after.
If you want the templates in the native Salesforce email composer (the standard Email action), you'd have to recreate them as Salesforce email templates. There's no sync that carries them over. Keep a parallel set for that if you want.
So, the checkbox just doesn't do what it sounds like.
If you want these usable from Salesforce, Engagement is the route. Native Salesforce templates are a separate thing.
