Hello - A few questions:
1) How can I perform a simple search to look up an account if I only have an email address and donation amount for the individual, but no first/last name?
2) I have a data import template from Salesforce - the template includes 2 columns that i want to map using the data import wizard: "donation type" and "donation description," yet when I go to map the data in Salesforce to prep for my import, Salesforce doesn't give these options for mapping. why?
3) Once my data is imported into Salesforce via data import wizard, why are the donations that are now uploaded into Salesforce not showing up in the opportunities section, thus not showing up in the household either as a donation?
I do not do well with blind links to articles to read or videos, so simple instructions I can easily follow are most helpful. thank you!
Hi @Jennifer Coulombe 1) The global search bar should enable you to search by email address and return the relevant record which would be linked to the account.
2) This could be to do with the options you choose in the 'What do you want to do?' step of the Data Import Wizard. Also, just to check, are you selecting the object that you are wanting to import this data to?
3) Does Salesforce say that the data has been successfully uploaded? And can you find it anywhere in the system or does it seem to be non-existent?
