#Community Sharing0 diskutieren mit

Hi, we have an experience cloud implementation using partner accounts that has account to contact many to many relationships enabled. We’ve discovered that the record sharing across accounts doesn’t really work. For example if I am a manager level employee across multiple accounts I can see my subordinates cases under my direct account relationship but not under any of my indirect account relationships. Similar issues with seeing contacts that have an indirect relationship to accounts I have a relationship with.

We are leaning towards a solution that involves dynamically creating public groups per account and sharing records/users with the public groups programmatically.

Has anyone else found a solution for this issue?

Thanks for running the study session, @Gemma Emmett! I wanted to add that in my experience Apex Sharing has often been a requirement for Customer Community Plus licenses (depending on business requirements and sharing model, Sharing Rules aren't always a solution). But in Summer '18 Sharing Sets for this license are in beta (https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=08730000000l4NcAAI). Yay! One thing that's frustrating about Communities is that they are somewhat of a moving target. It'll be interesting to see if the exam is all up to date or if it still contains references to deprecated features, templates, etc. I'm taking the exam this week, fingers crossed!

Hello everyone and thank you for voting for June's study group. I apologise for the short notice this month, but we're meeting on Thursday 28th June at 8pm UK time to take a deep dive into Community Sharing and Visibility.

Note: This is not general sharing and visibility - it's just in the context of Salesforce communities.

Everyone is welcome and we've learnt from last time so are going to stream this LIVE ON YOUTUBE! Please share with anyone who needs to get their heads around sharing groups, sharing sets and community roles.
