How to Get the URL of a PDF from Marketing Cloud Next CMS and Link to It in an Email?

I have uploaded a PDF to the Marketing Cloud Next CMS and would like to add a link to the PDF in an email.

I found this article explaining how to get the URL of an uploaded CMS asset:

I followed the approach described in the article and used the Content Key, channel ID and org ID to construct the URL, but I couldn't get it to work for my PDF.

What is the correct way to get the public URL of a PDF stored in Marketing Cloud Next CMS and then link to that PDF from an email?

Is there a different process for PDFs compared with images, or is there a specific place in Marketing Cloud Next where the PDF URL can be retrieved?
