Data Security – Control Access to Fields challenge fails because Candidate object is missing

Hi everyone, 

I am working on the Trailhead module: 

Data Security → Control Access to Fields 

I created the permission set exactly as instructed: 

- Label: Manage Job Applications 

- API Name: Manage_Job_Applications 

- License: None 

- Job Application object permissions: Read and Edit 

However, the challenge validation still fails. 

I noticed that in all of my Trailhead Playgrounds: 

- There is no Candidate object (only Applicant). 

- The Job Application object contains Candidate__c and Position__c as Text fields instead of Lookup fields. 

Because of this, I cannot configure the permission set exactly as the challenge expects. 

Has anyone experienced this issue? Is this a Playground provisioning issue or has the Recruiting sample app changed?
