Does anyone know what is the "new search service" for SFCC and how it's configured? In the docs for OrderMgr (
https://salesforcecommercecloud.github.io/b2c-dev-doc/docs/current/scriptapi/html/index.html?target=class_dw_order_OrderMgr.html) it states this in the searchOrders() method: "If the order search API is configured to use the new Search Service, the following differences apply: (...)"
I can't find any config/feature switch in Business Manager regarding a "new search service".
Can anyone help?
Hi @David Pereira, the "Search Service" in Business Manager is not really new. It's an alternative search technology for Business Manager object searches such as products, customers and orders, especially for high scale requirements. You can request to enable the "Search Service" in Business Manager by contacting our Customer Support.
