This comes up due to the Line Break Configuration set for a cartridge, You can set up Lint Configurations in each cartridge in file '.stylelintrc'.

Anything you can share will be helpful, especially when you have customization.   I am new to this so please be forgiving.   Thanks!  #SFRA  #B2C Commerce Cloud  #B2C Commerce

There is not really a guide to upgrading. It really depends on how many versions you differ and what changes have happened since.

For example, there was a big change in the checkout code between 4.4 and 5.0, and now between 5.x and 6.0, the way order confirmations are loaded has changed.

The biggest things to keep in mind are your LINK cartridges and their compatibility and re-testing or re-implementation of your customizations.

This is not hours or days worth of changes. But can easily become a "weeks" task.

I'm new to Commerce Cloud, so, please forgive me if I'm not explaining this correctly.

I am working to set up triggered emails for my company. I did find the reusable 'content' email files (ex. order confirmation, order ship updates, etc). But, I'm trying to figure out how to build a branded header/footer template that can be used for ALL of those content emails. ('rendering template'?)

So far, the information I'm locating points to needing SF Order Management for building the email template. (Which, we have).

Is that correct? Or, am I missing something in SFCC that would allow me to build the HTML email template that can be used with all triggered or marketing emails sent from SFCC?

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Hi,

We are hearing from SDL (current translations service)  that SFCC is modifying the Page designer module to allow 3rd party translation services to be able to connect to translate this content, as part of the 2021 roadmap.  Do you have any information on when this would be in Beta/planned for GA?  This is becoming increasingly important as it will help us understand whether this will allow us to gain parody between our current (Sitecore/Site Genesis vs. SFRA) content translations process.  Right now we believe that there will be a lot more manual efforts (especially on the EMEA sites) if we were to move to Page Designer with the SFRA build, since there is no direct translation integration available.  If there is something in process, it would be great to get access to it when it is Beta ready to see if this could help understand what we are getting/SDL would be able to see if they could start building against this.

I have recently started working on salesforce commerce cloud. I am trying to create an overlay cartridge on SFRA. I am following the below trailhead.

https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/content/learn/modules/b2c-cartridges/b2c-cartridges-customize and referring to 'With sgmf-scripts Globally Installed in the trailhead'

Questions

Where do we create the directory for Overlay cartridge

  • Should we create it inside SFRA or outside
  • Incase if we have to create it outside SFRA. How do we merge these folders inside the SFRA cartridges

HI All,

npm run upload Cartridge - Will upload app_storefront_base, modules and bm_app_storefront_base to the server. I would like to know the process for only uploading the customized cartridges to the server instead of SFRA provided cartridges because we will not be doing any custom changes in the SFRA provided cartridges .We would like to build only custom cartridges to the server please help me here
