#Interactive Email Form0 discutindo

I am working to set up our first interactive email. While the process seems a bit daunting at first I am trying to create an intake form for our customers to supply me with the details necessary to build out the email. Have any of you done this with your customers? If so, can you share any resources?

I am building an interactive email form and was wondering if the user's email or contact key/subkey can pass through to the data extension to be able to target market based on their answers? If you use the create a data extension automatically feature it only passes an ID through which is not an ID we are familiar with and I haven't had much luck building my own data extensions as it throws errors into the mix and doesn't pass any identifiable information into the data extension. If the id passed through with the create an automatic data extension can be used to send emails and direct a user through different paths of the journey then I am good with that, just making sure I can link the answers from the form back to the SF record eventually.

Hi @Matt Schmitter thank you and your team for your work in bringing us interactive forms to email.

I am unable to see the options to set a "Data Type" and "max character count" for the Text Input.

I have attached a screenshot from the Australian webinar presentation and have drawn a square of the missing fields in content builder. I have checked across 3 different client accounts and they're all missing these validation options. Has this feature been removed?

thank you

@Erica Lotecki sorry for the delayed response - we are working to bring these back to the UI in the future. Depending on your current need, the data type of the field that you create in the Data Extension that you use will apply some of the options. For example, if you use a number field type, in some email clients (Gmail and Apple Mail, for example), the inputs will be restricted to numbers only. Similarly with an email field, you'll notice the field is validated to ensure an "@" is included with content before and after it.

Hello! I recently sent out an email with a form to sign up for a graduation ceremony. When they register it updates the data extension and sends them on a different part of the journey. However, it looks like Outlook users can not see this and they only see the button to submit the form. When they click on the button it does not bring them to the cloud page, because they did not fill out the form. Does anyone have an tips or tricks on how to work with the forms on different email platforms, especially Outlook?

Thank you for your help.

Hi @Alexandra Peek - Right now, Outlook does not support Interactive Forms. When setting up an Email Form block in Content Builder, the user can define a fallback state. If a customer opens their email in an unsupported email client, the interactive content reverts to the fallback type you select. The fallback can be another content block, such as a button that links to form on the web, or you can also choose to show nothing, ensuring that each customer gets the best experience. Interactive Email Form data VS. CloudPages Smart Capture data

Hello. :)

I'm experimenting with the new Interactive Email Form and noticed something that puzzles me.  The Email Form requires that I set the "Field Value" which is passed to my data extension when it is submitted.  For a simple-&-not-realistic example: I'm asking what the email recipient's favourite colour is and one of my radio buttons has the label "My favourite colour is yellow" and the field value is set to "yellow".  When submitted the text "yellow" gets sent to my data extension.

However in CloudPages Smart Capture there's no "Field Value" property to set.  So when I create a fallback page for my interactive email, there's no way to have it submit "yellow", it submits the label of the radio button instead - "My favourite colour is yellow".

This seems pretty awkward to me.  Am I missing something?
