#Dell Boomi0 discutindo

We have an integration with Eventbrite via Dell Boomi and we have been encountering instances of the first name field value of "Friend" despite the form field value being something different - it's not a blank value, the name is submitted in the field.

Does anyone have an experience like this?  Any thoughts on root causes/fixes...  #Integration #Dell Boomi #Salesforce Admin

@Karan Kehar  it is happening sporadically with no real discernable pattern. the field "name": "prodtest1 prodtest1" is being mapped to hed_Chosen_Full_Name_c

wondering if that is an issue?  hed is due to our Education Data Architecture

Hi All, is it possible in Salesforce that when an email is sent from the user(either gmail or outlook), it should trigger a platform event in salesforce and when an event happens in salesforce, the platform event connector in Boomi trigger the boomi process and fetch the payload what comes in? #Platform Events #Dell Boomi #Email

Yes. As soon as an the user sends an email the platform event should get invoked. The email will have attachment too. And I need to pass the payload along with the attachment to Boomi. This is the requirement

Hi everyone, my company is looking for a connector to integrate NetSuite and SF. We are looking at Celigo and Dell Boomi. Celigo seems to be easier than Dell Boomi to configure it because it has the most common fields on the Opportunity level already mapped so there is not much customization. However, we use SF CPQ so most of the data we need to integrate is at the quote and quote line level, and apparently, they don't have anything prebuild for it. I am concern about the viability of the integrator getting down to that level. Has anyone integrated these apps or any similar one with SF CPQ? Any information would be very appreciated. Many thanks! Maria

@Maria Lazaro- How did the integration go? we are in the same boat as you using Salesforce CPQ, NetSuite and Celigo and struggling with the design. Any update on what was your final design?

Hi Everyone,

I am using Dell Boomi to push data in Einstein analytics. Here in Boomi, i have to create a json file component specifically for Date fields to use "fiscalmonthoffset" paramemter. But am very new to boomi. Could you please share any document or steps or any file you have created for boomi which helps in achieving this requirement.

Or please let me know how can i imply this "fiscalmothoffset" parameter on date fields when i am getting data in Einstein via Dell Boomi.

    Hi David,

I believe you are right in that you need to use the JSON metadata file in order to change the fiscal month offset. Since you are new to Boomi, it might be easier for us to jump on a conference call together and walk through in detail. My email addy is

Here are the high-level steps to create a JSON Profile to format your CSV Data Set upon upload.

1- From within the Salesforce Analytics Connector Operation in Boomi, create a new "JSON Metadata Cache" Profile (click green + sign). You can save and Import the attached JSON file below (I copied this file from the Salesforce help doc below so you can see the related CSV file it is formatting and all of the required fields).

2 - Create an Index in the Doc Cache so you can reference this Profile each time you want to use this particular format for a Data Set. You can use a Dynamic Document Property for this with an arbitrary name or one of the Object field element values, like the data set name ("SalesData" in the example)

3 - On your desktop, using Notepad or the like, edit the same attached JSON file to include values for the each format option you want. You only need to have values for the required fields and the optional fields that you want to change - like the "fiscalmonthoffset". The defaults are already prepopulated so shouldn't be too much editing.

4 - Take the edited file with values and cut and paste its contents into a Message Step in your Boomi Process and connect it in front of an "Add to Cache" Step. This will load the formatting values into the doc cache. You may need a Set Properties step to assign the Index value.

5 - For your process, you'll have Start Step with a connector that pulls your data to be loaded, then a Branch step with 2 Branches. One with the Message Step and Add to Doc Cache step and a second branch with the Salesforce Analytics Connector. (You may have a Map step in between if you need to transform your data prior to loading).

6 - Use a set properties step either in your Map Functions or if no Map, then as a Set Properties Step, to set the Index of the JSON Profile you want from your Doc Cache. (see the Boomi Help link for the document properties to set.)

    That's it, simple, right? :-)

Hi everyone.  Last year I joined the Salesforce Ohana when Dell Boomi migrated to Community Cloud from Jive.  It has been an exciting ride so far and we have big plans for our Community!  I wanted to share a recent podcast I did with The Community Roundtable where I talk about why we made the decision to migrate and where we want to take customer engagement now that we're on Salesforce.  Please check it out here:  https://communityroundtable.com/community-manager-podcast/conversations-with-community-managers-andrew-mishalove/.  It's about 20 minutes long and I hope you'll find it to be of some value.  If you want to check out our community you can visit it here https://community.boomi.com/s/.  I also want to acknowledge the great work of our implementation partner 7Summits (@Adam Brown , @RJ Reimers , @RJ Reimers , and @Paul Stillmank ) in carrying out the migration, the continued support from @Cesar Castro who has been such a vital resource for us, and my manager @Adam Arrowsmith for his tireless support and for getting us across the finish line!  And finally, @Aditya Singh from our core Boomi team who also played a critical role in bringing our new Community to life!  Thank you all!

I've been in the community space for almost ten years and I'm looking forward to bigger and better things with Salesforce.  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Appinium is a solid LMS solution, @Stas Dunayev & @Brian Kling - We've worked with them across a few engagements in the past 2 years.
