Transitioning to Lightning Experience

Hi All,

I ran into an issue in my production org that did not occur in sandboxes so wanted to see if anyone ran into this issue.

I have built a lightning app with lightning components and I am loading it onto a visualforce page using lightning out. The visualforce page is used within a Force.com site. When loading the page either via the vf page while logged into salesforce or from the public url of the site the following error is written to the brower's console log.

XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://XXXXX.lightning.force.com/c/XXXXXXXX.app?aura.format=JSON&aura.formatAdapter=LIGHTNING_OUT. Redirect from 'https://XXXXX.lightning.force.com/c/XXXXXX.app?aura.format=JSON&aura.formatAdapter=LIGHTNING_OUT' to 'https://XXXXXX.my.salesforce.com/visualforce/session?url=https%3A%2F%2FXXXXX.lightning.force.com%2Fc%2FXXXXXXXX.app%3Faura.format%3DJSON%26aura.formatAdapter%3DLIGHTNING_OUT' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'https://XXXXXXX.secure.force.com' is therefore not allowed access.

I've masked the domain names and app component names, however, I have added the urls referenced in the above message in the CORS whitelist settings. I did the same in the sandboxes and was able to load the page without any issue. Could there be something I could be missing?

Thanks in advance!

Hi guys another request for help.

I'm looking to customise the Chatter Group Lightning Page layout to add a simple Rich Text component.

I' got the record page layout defined and visible with a sample group showing, saved activated as org default, etc.

But .. when I go to the group (or any group) the customisation is not there. I have <F5> and <CTRL><F5> to force full page refreshes to no avail.

What have I missed?

This idea only need 74 more votes to be reviewed. In LEX you can only invite other users to events if you have Lightning Sync to Outlook or G Suite, meaning we have to switch to classic to invite team members to meetings. Let's get this into their review list.

Idea: Add Attendee to Events in Lightning Experience WITHOUT Lightning Sync

Thank you! I was trying to add it to the action and expected to see it here. I do see it on the edit layout of an event now. Thank you.

Hi Everyone,

When I try to run a readiness check report I keep getting this message:

Offline for maintenance

This app is undergoing maintenance right now.

Please check back later.

Does anyone know how long this maintenance period is going to last?

Thanks!

@Diego Moreno is there an update as to when this may be available again? Just tried again and it's still down.

Guys

Give that one of the mantras preached when transitioning to Lighting is to collaborate and communicate with your users, why can I not 'Mass Email Users' in Lightning. This appears to be another useful function - solely used by #AwesomeAdmins  - that is being left off the road-map.

In my search for a solution (other than switch back to Classic) i came across this idea which I think is worth your support. https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=0873A000000CUhOQAW

Ah! That sounds like a nice Christmas break project :-) Thank you.

@Austin Tam Fine tuning the 'Switch Back' permission - yes I can see that one will be needed. Thank you.

Hi Hive,

We have recently migrated to Lightning from Classic .

There is a complain from users that when they are typing name in Case Owner lookup fields(Standard) they are also seeing the names of community users along with internal users - In classic it’s only shows internal users in Case owner field lookup.

Is there a way in lightning case owner look up to restrict to show only internal users as in Classic version?

Thank you in advance for any help.

This is a Lightning frustration for us as well.

In Classic, when changing ownership of a record, there was a drop down where you could choose to search from Users, Queues, or Customer Portal users with the default being Users.

In Lightning the search is for People, which includes internal and community users in the results. This is confusing for my users and leads to greater chance that the wrong person is selected.

We are in the beginning stages of our Migration to LEX and only have it turned on for Admins and a small beta test group.  Is there a sway to remove the "Switch to Lightning Experience" link on the Home page so as not to confuse users?

Quick Question. We've transition to Lightning and still working through several end-user access challenges....

My question is around a system's permission - does anyone know what is meant by most for the permission of  "Transfer Record"; who description is "Change owner of most records". A user is not able to transfer an account from one owner to another and should be able to with this permission.

Hopeful to learn what's meant by "most" - perhaps Account Owner transfers do not fall in the bucket.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
