Hi, I am trying to mass upload a note on accounts. It is the same note but for over 1000 account records. Is there a way to do it through dataloader? I've attempted multiple ways but it doesn't seem to be the write object. It is the 'notes' and not 'notes & attachments'
@Jas C the same here. I added Id to ParentId attribute, and note looked correctly, but was not visible in Notes related list placed on Parent record. Maybe an issue

One of the customers of us have a requirement as per below:
- Ability to record notes with type of notes for e.g. type as Candidate call, Client meeting etc.
- Tag other users in notes. Other users receive an email notification of the tag including hyperlinks back to the record from which the note originated.
- Link a note across related records (contact, job or other)
- Set a task, while completing a note
- Report on notes, via subject pick list (e.g. Candidate call)
Anyone is this possible if yes how can this be done?

In Lightning, I want a note created by user 1 (internal user) on a record to be automatically visible to user 2 (internal users) & user 3 (external user) who has same level of record access as user 1. How is this achievable ? Note: I don't want to use Share button on note creation to share this note with another user.
My organization is starting to make a transition from Classic to Lightning experience. Previously, we would attach files to our events for further context on the event. However, in Lightning, I cannot figure out any option to attach something to an event. Can someone help explain how I can solve this? #LightningExperience #Notes & Attachments #Activities Object
You will need to add the Related List to your Page Layout. Then make sure your Related List & the File Uploader is on your Lightning Page.
Please go to Setup --> Objects --> Event and open Page Layout. Click on Related Lists and drag Files down to your Related Lists area.
Save your Page Layout.
Then click on Lightning Record Pages and open your record page or create a new one:
Add the Related List - Single element somewhere on your record page. Then select the Related List of "Files". This will allow you to see any attached files and/or upload any other files to your record.

Example: Red team has 3 opportunities that have notes on them from specific red team SF users. I want to ensure that anyone that is a Red team user can see notes on all three opportunities, regardless of the Red team owner. #Data Management

UPDATE: That didn't work for me. I don't know if I did it wrong (I am not skilled at process builder or flows) or if it doesn't work for that standard object.
Has anyone found a way to create email alerts on attachments?
My team would like to receive an email alert or notification of some kind when there is an attachment added to an opportunity.
I haven't been able to find a good solution for them other than to create a custom field that would need to be manually changed in some way (checked, date selected etc) which would then trigger a workflow email alert...

We are trying to get our users in the habit of using the notes object. Is it possible to make notes required on the lead object? Would probably have to be status based so that we could still create "new" leads without a note, and could also be useful if they were not able to convert without a note.

My apologies! I was thinking of a text field in the Lead object where you could add a small note, not the Notes object. I believe you would have to create a trigger for this case, following the same logic to check the status, then check for an attachment.
Unfortunately I have no experience with implementing something similar to this, however I found this article that seems easily enough to accomplish the task. Hopefully someone with more Apex trigger experience can chime in, otherwise I see no reason why it shouldn't work!
Question about emailing dynamic files. I need to send out an email and have all documents under the "notes and attachments" related tab attached automatically. Is it possible to get all documents under Notes & Attachments and automatically attach them to an email?
