One of the biggest pain points I hear from Salesforce orgs isn't what they want to build — it's that nobody fully understands what they already have. Undocumented automations, mystery Apex, flows nobody wants to touch, integrations with no runbook. If that sounds familiar, this might be for you.

Salesforce Summer '24 documentation review request

 

Hello, I am the technical writer for Salesforce Feedback Management. 

The Summer '24 documentation is now available on the unauthenticated Help portal. The docs have been reviewed by PMs and tested in test orgs. The last step in the process for this release is to get the content reviewed by external stakeholders. 

Please review the Feedback Management release notes and help updates by Friday, 31 May 2024. While reviewing, please look for things like:

  • What's working well? What should we keep doing?
  • Anything missing?
  • What should we do differently?

This form lists all release notes and help topics for review. Please enter your feedback in the form. 

 

Make sure you're viewing the unauthenticated help portal. If in doubt, use an Incognito window.

The Salesforce developer documentation team has been hard at work improving your experience, based on direct user feedback and testing. What's new?

 

See the updated experience here!

 

Table of Contents (ToC)

  • New background and font colours
  • Increased the default Table of Contents' width and added text padding
  • Increased vertical density, allowing more Table of Contents items in the same space
  • Centralised all guide-level actions into Table of Contents, including the PDF download and language picker
  • Scroll bar appears only when it can be used
  • Extended Table of Contents to max vertical page space by limiting footer to content body

Version Picker

  • Added green and red badges to indicate Latest or Not Latest version
  • Added caret to indicate dropdown menu
  • Expanded seasonal release text to version number label

Document Header

  • New background and font colors
  • Changed selection indication element to more findable WES standard
