Hello Team,

I am facing an issue with the Data Library. I have set up Data Cloud for Confluence through a connector, created a data stream with a custom data model object, and configured the search index. My records are available in the Agentforce Data Library setup but are not visible in the Agent Builder's Knowledge Data Library.

Can anyone help me understand the reason behind this and how I can fix it?

Hmmm. There are a couple things to check:

    1) Test your agent's access to the ADL using Prompt Builder. Does that work?

    2) Then test access to the ADL in the agent builder. Does that work?

    3) did the indexing job complete in the Data Cloud->Serach Indexes tab

A common issue is that the Agent user (employee or customer service Agent user) was not provided with access to the ADL.

I have a dashboard that combines some reports. These reports are located in a confidential folder that only 3 users have any access to. The dashboard is in a cofidential folder as well with only those same 3 users having access. All users with access are listed as "Manage" and are system admin profiles in salesforce. We are subscribed to the dashboard and get it emailed to us on a daily basis. Occasionally we forward the dashboard email to the CEO for his review. He does not have access to the reports, but doesn't care about the data behind the dashboard just likes to see the summarized view.

The problem has risen, he has started forwarding that email to others who we discover are able to click "view report" on the email and are granted access in salesforce to the full report. I just tested it with my assistant and she was able to see it all despite not having access to the reports normally. Is there something I can do to protect the information better? Telling the CEO to stop doing something doesn't really go over well - and we are trying to prevent office drama.

Aside from manually going through the email and removing any links before we forward it to him I am not sure what else can be done.

When anyone in our organization tries to multi-select and edit a date on a task now (under our Task menu), we are getting duplicate checkboxes.   What is happening specifically is: when we multiselect click the Pencil Icon to edit the date, and then click the checkbox for "Update # selected items" then it moves the checkbox up slightly to say "Update # selected items" again and we have to click that again to then click apply. This seems to be a new issue recently in the last ~3 weeks.   We have tried doing this in Incognito and across multiple users, and all have the same experience.

Im trying to do a bulk upload to creat Accounts and contacts in those accounts.  I have a CSV  file and have mapped the columns but for some reason the upload keeps creating an account for each contactCan someone please point me in the right direction for this. I am literally tearing my hair out. THanks

Hi, First import the Accounts only but csv should have contact data in it. When accounts are imported then you will get a file that contains the Ids of those created accounts. Import that sheet again to upload contacts. Now don't map the account fields, insted map the contacts fields only along with AccountId field to Id column in the sheet. Now they will be linked together.

Hi,

I am having problems to Import salesforce Article, I get the following error consistently:

[MESSAGE 4/4/2016 1:14 PM] -- Import Started --

[ERROR zip:test3.zip - 4/4/2016 1:14 PM] This value [CreatedDate] in the header for column 4 cannot be mapped (check both the header and its matching FLS).

[ERROR zip:test3.zip - 4/4/2016 1:14 PM] This value [LastModifiedDate] in the header for column 5 cannot be mapped (check both the header and its matching FLS).

[MESSAGE 4/4/2016 1:14 PM] -- Import Failed --

Which i have correct Read/Write permission in FLS for CreatedDate and LastModifiedDate field.

Any ideas?

Tanks

Hey all, sorry to reply to an old post but I'm having the same problem as the poster and I'm confused by Naval's answer (which I've seen elsewhere looking this up). Where could I have named a field at all, other than in the csv file column? I don't see anywhere else in the import process where I could've added something like "description__c" except for the csv file. Any help with this would be great, obviously a novice here!

Hello,

I am encountering an issue where the Data Governance tab is not visible within my Data Cloud application.

I have already performed the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Permission Set Confirmed: The Data Cloud Architect permission set is correctly assigned to my user.
  2. Manual Check: I attempted to manually add the tab to the navigation bar:
    • I navigated to the Data Cloud App.
    • Clicked the "Edit navigation bar" icon (pencil).
    • Selected "Add more items," but the Data Governance option was not available in the list.

Can you help me with this issue ?

Thank you for your assistance.

If the permissions are already correct, it's worth checking whether the Data Governance feature is enabled for your org or available in your edition, as that can hide the tab. Also, thanks for sharing such detailed troubleshooting, and I’ve had a similarly good experience with quality recommendations from https://dandyhatsshop.com/.

I’m currently working with a Salesforce org that has over 1 million+ Attachments and ContentVersion files across multiple objects.

I’m looking for a scalable way to bulk download all files and directly store them in Google Drive, without first saving them locally.

So far, I’ve tried:

  • dataloader.io, but it has a limitation of 10k files per month
  • Salesforce Data Export, but it doesn’t provide actual file downloads (only metadata)

Has anyone implemented a solution for this at large scale?   Any recommendations around tools, integrations, or best practices would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Hi. In my opinion, there should be an apex scheduled job that pulls the attachment and post it as an attachment to google drive folder. The solution is based on the integrating google drive and salesforce using api. See similar discussion

Here is an app from app exchange that doesn't work on bulk but works for single files which confirms that integration is possible and bulk data can be moved as well.

I am trying to get an image added to the Account or Lead record, and have the image change based upon the picklist value of a custom field. I was able to work with the Graphics Package on the app exchange, but the images are extremely small. I need something larger to grab more attention. I am not versed in VF, ideally looking for something easy to implement.

    Hi,

If you're still looking for a native-looking option, we recently launched an AppExchange component for this.

It lets users upload, crop, and display images or logos directly on standard or custom Salesforce record pages, alongside selected record fields so everything stays in one place.

Might save you some time if you don't want to build and maintain a custom LWC just for image upload and display.

Hi! We want an individual rescued cat picture to display on each "Cat" custom object record (where we track medical history, adoption status, etc. as well).

I've read that I can do this with "Files", or perhaps with a "Library". I'm guessing this might work better in Lighting than Classic, but am wary of slow page load times that we already experience, and that displaying a photo may slow this down even more.

Can anyone recommend the best way to display individual record photos on a custom object, that both doesn't use up all of our storage space in Salesforce, doesn't require an experienced administrator, and doesn't slow our page load times if we can make the photo display smallishly?

Thanks for any help!

Hello everyone,

We have four different Record Types for Accounts. I would like to make an visual differentiation and include a little icon per record type.

Is there an easy way to do that? I'm not a programmer, i really need an easy way to do that.

Thank you!

This is a great question :) although a little fiddly at first, you can use a formula field (as suggested above) to add an image based on the Record Type. The result is really nice!

I always install Graphics Pack by Salesforce Labs which gives me more images to choose from: (https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N30000004cfIcEAI)

It also has good instructions on how to use the images and create your formula.

Here is an example of one I created using the graphics pack, it displays a flag based on the Account Owner's country.

    CASE( Owner.Country_Text__c ,

    "UK" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMYJ" ,'UK',16,16),

    "Belgium" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMSe" ,'Belgium',16,16),

    "Canada" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMTj" ,'Canada',16,16),

    "France" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMYG" ,'France',16,16),

    "Germany" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMVq" ,'Germany',16,16),

    "US" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMhB" ,'US',16,16),

    IMAGE("/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMYJ",'Other',16,16))

So your formula might look somethig like this:

    CASE( RecordType ,

"Record Type Name 1" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMYJ" ,'Record Type Name 1',16,16),

"Record Type Name 2" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMSe" ,'Record Type Name 2',16,16),

"Record Type Name 3" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMTj" ,'Record Type Name 3',16,16),

"Record Type Name 4" , IMAGE( "/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMYG" ,'Record Type Name 4',16,16),

    IMAGE("/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=0150E000000BMYJ",'Other',16,16))

Replace the field name and record type names with actual values. Replace the ID's with the actual ID's of your images.

If you are using Lightning you can even add the image to the compact layout so it appears in the detail header for the record.
