How many batches will be executed in Salesforce for 20,000 records with a specified batch size of 250 records?

Let's do some calculation now. For 20,000 records with a batch size of 250 records, the total number of batches will be 20,000/250 = 80 batches. Correct?

If you've also done the above calculation, the answer i.e. 80 batches is wrong. I asked the same question on Linkedin and 78% of the people voted for the wrong answer! 

The correct answer to this question is 100 batches. Curious to know WHY?
