#Payment Method2 personnes en discutent

I’m trying to register for the Salesforce Platform Developer I exam through Trailhead, but when redirected to Pearson VUE checkout, I get this error:

Because of this, I can’t complete payment or schedule the exam.

Has anyone faced this issue before? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi amazing community,

Our nonprofit website is getting more and more frequent fraudulent credit card attacks on our payment site. Bad actors are using our site to test out credit cards with $3 dollar charges. Sometimes they run 5 charges to 80 charges at a time. Luckily our payment portal's fraud tools prevents any of these transactions but it leaves us with technical debt (contacts being created). Is there any way to prevent this from happening in the first place? Does it depend on which payment portal we are using? Are there ways to discourage use of our website for these criminal purposes? We can't just turn our payment gateway off. Would love to know if this happens to others and for any advice.

    Good afternoon, Michelle,

I took a look at SPUR’s donation page and noticed you already have CAPTCHA in place, which is a great first step to block automated bots. A few clarifying questions would help guide the best approach to reduce fraudulent card testing while keeping the donation process accessible:

    1. Which payment processor are you using? Does it support features like velocity checks, per-IP limits, AVS/CVV verification, or other fraud scoring tools?

    2. Would it be acceptable to enforce a slightly higher minimum donation in the “Other” box or temporarily block repeated very small-dollar submissions from the same IP or card?

    3. Do failed or blocked transactions still create Contacts or other records in Salesforce? Would automation to flag or clean up these attempts be useful?

    4. Do you need donors from across the Bay Area (or beyond) to always succeed, even if there are multiple small donations from shared IPs? Are more aggressive anti-fraud measures acceptable if they reduce card testing?

Some payment gateways like Stripe offer built-in fraud protection (velocity limits, IP restrictions, CVV verification, and fraud scoring) for a fee. On the lower-cost side, keeping CAPTCHA, slightly increasing the minimum donation could provide meaningful protection.

    Be well- Katende

Hello Everyone!

I am trying to register for Salesforce Certified Administrator certification but the webassessor.com site is so bad that it's failing at the payment page without giving any errors.

I am just so fed-up with this site now. There is no clear error message and no information on why it failed.

System just plainly redirected me to home page without any confirmation when I hit submit during payment.

Shortly, I received an email that says Whoops! Your Salesforce Certified Administrator Registration failed to process, Please log back into your candidate account to re-register".

So I tried to register again now, but this time, System is not allowing me to enter the coupon code that I received when I attended the online certification prep course - it says promotion code is already used.

I am from India, does this happen for anyone? Has anyone successfully registered/paid in India? I used 2 different credit cards which are internationally active but it failed 3 times as of now. And now, the coupon code isn't working either.

Just wanted to ask in case someone already faced this issue and what's workaround for this.

Background: I've watched the enablement, walked through the steps. By all accounts Elevate is working fine and can process donations with Stripe as the gateway. I just can't get donations imported.  I am working with a client and we are at the final phase of the project, all thats left to do is to import recurring donations to Elevate. They are currently using Donor Box as their online giving platform and want Donor Box monthly giving migrated to Elevate. To reiterate: They are staying with Stripe so all that's changing is the giving platform.

Getting the required fields like Customer ID through Stripe was easy enough, and I managed to get a next month timestamp from Donorbox, but when it comes to the GateWayPaymentMethodID we are getting the runaround.

Stripe says Donorbox has that, Donorbox says Stripe has it, and I can see Stripe has a Payment Method ID on each payment through their front end but its not exportable. They also have this value in their API. So I am not really sure what is going on here.

Regardless, I manage to scrape together all the required data (or so I thought) through both vendors and by grabbing the PaymentMethodID through the front end on Stripe (by going to the prior months donation and using its Payment Method ID. It's a string starting with "pm_").

Unfortunately, I am getting an error in the file that Stripe says the Payment Method ID does not exist - so clearly a dead end. I have also tried the specific card ID just to try it but same - no dice.  The customer ID seems to be working fine.

Has anyone here imported Recurring Donations with Stripe staying as the same gateway, and  able to discern what part in the process am I missing to move these payments over? Is the GateWayPaymentMethodID Stripe's Payment Method ID or is it referring to something else? Do they need to be retokenized or something even if its staying with Stripe as the endpoint the entire way? Stripe seems to have no idea what it is when my client asks their support.

    Hi all,

I am currently experiencing the same issue - is there a solution for migrating Donorbox recurring donations to Elevate?

    Thanks,
