#Cookies0 personne en discute

Hi All,

I am trying to edit a lead record type but I get the following message when I try to access it:

We can't display this page because your browser blocks cross-domain cookies, but you can view this page in Salesforce Classic. Click here to open this page in Salesforce Classic.

Please contact your Salesforce Administrator, it is possible that they simply need to allow the *.salesforce-setup.com domain, as described in Set Up and Maintain Your Salesforce Organization: Allow the Required Domains

The message ONLY appears for that specific record type, as I can access all the other lead record types we have.

I have already checked it with Salesforce Classic and the list of record types does not show that specific RT. Also, I have tried with incognito mode, with another browser (I use Chrome), I have added the URL to the "Allowed to use third-party cookies" list in Chrome's settings, I checked the SF help page

https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000391956&type=1

but I do not have the "DuckDuckGo" extension, so nothing works.

Also, the error only appears in our Sandbox (I can access in PROD and FULL sandbox).

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thank you!

@Wendy Tolbert -- I unfortunately have not. I worked for several hours with Salesforce support to troubleshoot, but did not resolve the issue. For now, I am using Firefox when the error gets too much in the way, and hoping that a future refresh of my sandbox will resolve it--I'm just not ready to refresh just yet--big project underway!

Hi Partners

Requesting for your expert advise on below use case.

Topic: How does Cookie Management on Communities work?

  1. What is the standard Salesforce privacy policy for customers using the communities portal. How does Salesforce use/manage and store cookies for external users logging on to access the communities portal.
  2. Can customers of the communities portal also access the cookie consent manager and manage their preferences?

Is it implied on Salesforce Commutnity to be in line with Salesforce privacy statements OR does Salesforce community take care of this automatically?

The way Salesforce does on its website (screenshot attached herein), does Salesforce do the same automatically on Community as well for the Community users when they try to login for the first time?

We are working through the same issue. We are looking for a way to let our customers opt out of cookies if they wish. Similar to what Salesforce has on their site with "Cookie Consent Manager" tool.

Hi Pardot friends!

I am working on a project where the main lead data flow goes of this way (it's mandatory do it like this because of the specificities of the business)

Company website form >> Company database >> Salesforce >> Pardot

On the Salesforce conector, we are are activating the option "Automatically create prospects in Pardot if they are created as a Lead or Contact in Salesforce"

Also, it's important to note the Pardot website tracking code is installed.

The question: do you know a way we can capture the Pardot visitor ID when the user submits the form on  the website, so later Pardot will receive this information and associate the visitors with the new lead?

Any ideas on how this can work?

Thanks

Are there any stats on how many people choose to opt-in to Pardot tracking cookies?

Our tech team are reluctant to implement tracking code because they feel that the number of people who opt into cookies is so low, that it won’t be worth the time/resource. I need to present them with a case of why this is worthwhile. #AskAPardotExpert

If someone comes to our site as a visitor and they opt-out of Pardot tracking cookies, then they later convert to a prospect by completing a form.

I understand that we can now email them, but we cannot track their activities on our site because they have opted out of cookies?

Is there a way to get them to opt-in to tracking cookies after that initial decision?

    @Lucy Alexander

Sadly there is no way to get them to opt back in unless they clear their cookies and accept the banner on the second time.

Here is normal functionality: Visitors receive a message that asks them to opt in on their first visit. The message doesn’t appear again unless they clear their cookies. If a prospects opt out of tracking, Pardot treats them as if their cookies are disabled. Email link clicks and form submissions still appear in their activity history, but their page views and form views don’t.
