Hi! This group is just for support with the app Nonprofit Year End Donation Receipt (or something like that), so not totally relevant to your question. I hope you asked and found an answer elsewhere!

Hi @Jessie Rymph I am using the YearEnd CampaignTable Flow to generate the rich area text table on contact records. However, is there a way I can exclude opportunities where the contact role on the opportunity is Soft Credit?
10 janv. 2025, 07:49 Okay now that I have wrapped my brain around this.... the problem is with the roll up field used in the Apex class. It relies on npo02__OppAmountLastYear__c (Opportunities Last Year). If your organization has customized that rollup field to include Soft Credits, then to make it work without modifying the code, you can change the definition of that rollup field in NPSP settings to exclude soft credits, then run the rollup, run the tax flow, then set your rollup field back to include soft credits after you are done.
9 janv. 2025, 21:26 Oh okay. That looks like a separate thread.
Generally speaking when you "build" Change Set, which is essentially a glorified Zip folder that you put a bunch of "stuff" like new fields, changes to page layouts, code, etc, into, which will then be "Uploaded" into your Production Salesforce org, or an intermediary Sandbox, if you have a multi-step Development/Deployment Process.
Anyway, if you're "building" the Change Set (adding components to it) that would be an "Outbound" Change Set.
In the other org that you want to deploy the Change Set (changes) to, it would appear as an "Inbound" Change Set (after you've done the upload part)

@Madison Thompson asked if anyone has used this and if it could be a merge field in MCAE. I don't know the answer to that, but I don't see why it couldn't.
8 nov. 2024, 13:03 I'm sorry, but I am not a MCAE user. It's using HTML and goes into a rich text field so... I would research how to use merge fields with HTML in account engagement.

@Mike Rusch asked why his code is failing on 1/3 of his records. They have "Your documentation says it should run on a contact if Oppty is Close Won and Oppty date is last year." Those contacts also must have the rollup field
- Contact Criteria: Total Gifts Last Year > 0
You could check out what logic you have going in that rollup field in case you modified it in customizable rollups. Otherwise, pick out a contact that should have been included and share some screenshots, but make them anonymous!
1 févr. 2024, 18:51 @Jessie Rymph Thank you, super helpful. Looks like the ultimate problem was there were a lot of opptys and the default text field size was too small. So, I increased the size of the field and all ran as expected. Thanks!
Is this app only for Hard credit donations? I was hoping to email two tables, one hard credit that are tax deductible and one table for soft credits that aren't. Though those are usually through organization (Donor advised funds), and are account donations. I believe the caveats list only contact donations? Any ideas how I could accomplish this?
31 janv. 2024, 19:03 This file has two different versions of the code, one with campaigns and one without. If you compare the two files, you can see what I did to add the campaign fields. Replicate those changes to add another field.
Regarding how to send emails... You could use a list email inside Salesforce to send up to 5000 emails a day. If you have more than 5000 emails to send then I'd look at using a different email tool!
You can, @Hala Salama, you can! Salesforce recommends you always deploy to a sandbox at first, but you can deploy it directly to production if you want. If i provide a url that goes right to the sandbox, change that url to remove sandbox from it.
Hi! I followed all the steps to update the apex only to show the opps marked tax deductible true as instructed. When I run the flow, it's still only populating the Gifts This Year field, not my new one. What am I missing here?
See my VERY hypothetical example in sandbox in first comment :)
18 janv. 2024, 07:19 Thanks! This is really helpful to see. Where you have in the code
Gifts_Last_Year__c you need to change that to Tax_Deductible_Gifts_Last_Year__c and where you have
npo02__OppAmountLastYear__c
that needs to be your roll up field Gifts_Last_Year_Tax_Deductible__c. And you need to add in the checkbox to your soql criteria. THIS code:
CALENDAR_YEAR(CloseDate) =:year AND IsWon = True
should also include
AND tax_deductible __c = true
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall this app to have it pull 2023 donations?
5 janv. 2024, 11:53 You might have a version that did not include the flows. Can you go to installed packages and see what the version number is, please? If it is not 1.4.0 then you should uninstall the old version and install 1.4 from appexchange!
