I've been importing contacts from a different database. I suddenly noticed that ALL of the Accounts that were created for my contacts are Organization Record Type - my entire database, including all the households, have become organizations. I don't understand how this could have happened. As far as I understood, the SF automatically creates HH Accounts for contacts that were imported.
2 Questions:
1. How could this have happened?
2. Is there a way to fix it "mass"? Do I need to erase everything and do my import all over again?

Thank you @Samantha Safin, I followed your directions and corrected the problem. I am definitely familiar with the NPSP Data Import Guide and have been following it to do my imports, thank for the advice.
