Hi all,

I would greatly appreciate anyone who might have insight to this...

I have created a Public Chatter Group at my organization. Users who are in the group can see and access the group fine. However, users who are not apart of the group do not see the group on the left hand side. They are completely unaware of this group. I would like accomplish the following

  • Have a Public Group that everyone in the organization can see on the left side under Recent Groups
  • Not require everyone to be a member of the group in order to see and access the group.

I guess what I'm asking is: How do people find out about Public Groups if they are not members?

How do users find out about Public Chatter Groups if they are not members?

That section doesn't work like you are wanting it to - users will only see groups that they have recently visited in the "recent groups".  You can either publicize about the group internally via intranet or email campaign and include a link to the group, or add all users into the group so that they're members of the group and will see the content in their group digest. They can then unsubscribe if they prefer.
