On the Account record page, the Activity Timeline only gives "Oldest dates first" and "Newest dates first" for Upcoming & Overdue activities. I want the most recently created event shown first, regardless of its scheduled date. For example, Event 1 (7 Oct) was created first, Event 2 (10 Oct) second, and Event 3 (9 Oct) third.
Is there any standard setting, or a recommended workaround (related list, report, or custom component) to order by Created Date? Thanks in advance.
No standard setting for this. Not entirely sure why you'd want this anyway.
For a workaround you build your own datatable and display the record data in whatever order you want. If you just need to see events this should be relatively straight forward. if you want it to show all objects that are typically included in the standard activity timeline then you'll need a wrapper class to make it work.
