Changing my volunteer's status from 'confirmed' to 'completed' is not enough. Our volunteers are tutors and sometimes they end up volunteering in other capacities due to the fact that their student is absent. I need to be able to change their volunteer hours status from confirmed to "completed other job" to separate theirs hours from our tutoring hours or switch their job title easily in the mass edit volunteer hours page from "tutor" to "other volunteer".
You can customize the status values. It is a picklist. However, "completed" has meaning for the rollup summary values computed on the contact. I believe that Completed Other Job would not be counted as a volunteer event or contribute to the total hours for the contact. If that matters, you may need to instead create a checkbox on the Volunteer Hour to indicate "assigned other duties" or something like that.
