Publish and Review Your Workflow

Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Explain the steps to publish a completed page to the live storefront.
  • Describe how pages are shared across multiple sites in an organization.
  • Summarize the full Page Designer workflow from page creation to publication.

Set the Stage for Launch

You’ve scheduled, localized in three languages, and targeted your VIP customer group for Thursday’s summer sale landing page preview window. All the pieces are in place.

You’ve covered the entire Page Designer workflow in this badge—you understand how developer dependency impacts merchandising teams, and you can build pages, set targeting rules, and extend your content to global markets. One step remains.

In this unit, you publish the page and review the full workflow.

Publish a Page

When you’re satisfied with how the page looks, select Publish from the visual editor to make it available online.

Side-by-side illustrations of the Page Designer layout and the page published on your storefront.

What happens next depends on whether you set a schedule in targeting.

Publish Scenario

What Happens

No schedule set

The page goes live immediately. It stays up until you unpublish it or set an expiration date in targeting.

Schedule set in targeting

The page is published but stays hidden from shoppers until the scheduled start date and time. It disappears automatically at the scheduled end date.

When you create a page, it’s automatically shared with all sites in an unpublished mode via the Shared Library. The Published or Unpublished Status is separate for each site and requires manual adjustment.

Verify the Live Page After Publishing

After publishing, confirm everything works.

  • Verify the URL. Confirm that the page appears correctly on the live storefront.
  • Check targeting. Open the page in the visual editor and select the Preview icon. Set the customer group and date to match your targeting conditions and confirm that the right content appears for the right audience.
  • Confirm the schedule. If the page has a visibility window, verify that the start date is active and the page is visible or appropriately hidden, based on the current date and time.
  • Check publication status. For multisite deployments, confirm the published status on each site separately.

Review Content Blocks Usage

After you publish pages that use content blocks, review where content blocks are used across your storefront.

  1. In Business Manager, select App Launcher.
  2. Select Merchant Tools | Content | Content Blocks.
  3. Select the content block.
  4. Select the Usage tab.
  5. View all pages and regions where the content block is assigned.

Evaluate Your Page Designer Workflow

You worked through every phase of the merchandiser Page Designer workflow in this badge. Here’s the full picture.

Unit

What You Did

Job Done

1. Explore

Learned what Page Designer solves, how the developer-merchandiser handoff works, and what the toolkit includes.

Identified Page Designer as the right tool for the job.

2. Build

Created a page, placed components, configured the Attribute Editor, bound components to content assets, created content blocks, and previewed across device types.

Built a campaign landing page with reusable content blocks.

3. Schedule

Set targeting rules for visibility windows and customer groups for pages, components, and content blocks, and connected to the B2C commerce campaign framework.

Wired the page to go live automatically at the right time for the right audience.

4. Localize

Extended the page to multiple locales using the fallback hierarchy, localized content blocks, and used content blocks for content reuse.

Prepared the campaign for global launch without rebuilding the page.

5. Publish

Published the page, verified the result, and reviewed content block usage.

Launched the campaign to the live storefront.

Wrap It Up

In this badge, you learned how to use the page creation tool Page Designer. You experienced how Page Designer reduces your dependency on the developer and how it gives you control over campaign timing and audience targeting.
