#Log A Call0 debatiendo

Hello Everyone! Question and maybe this has been done but my google-fu is not up to par today. Trying to see if its possible to do a Lookup filter on a contact field that will be on the log a call layout. A little context we are trying to narrow the lookup to just the contacts associated to the account whenever someone logs a call. Instead of it showing the most recently viewed. Unless there is something I missing about tasks/activities. Hope this makes sense!

In theory, you could create a custom Lookup(Contact) field on the Activity Object, and add a Lookup Filter to the custom field.

Then create a Record Triggered Flow, triggered by the Task Object, and add a Fast Field update that inserts the ContactId from your custom Lookup(Contact) field, into the standard Name(WhoId) field

Anyway, it's just an idea, I’m like Leonardo DaVinci, my mind is full of ideas...  although most of them are as useless as a Wooden Helicopter powered by ropes and pulleys.

Dear Trailblazers!

I hope you all are doing well, I need some help with in-CRM calling (dialer) with your knowledge & experiences. So let's dive right into it!

So, My company is willing to switch to Salesforce (currently on HubSpot). I am very excited about it. In Hubspot, we have a native in-app phone dialer to make outbound sales calls with 1000 mins/mo/user it supports many countries including local calls as well.

Now, In salesforce, they don't have this option(as per our salesforce account executive). I tried looking up various alternatives and workarounds but didn't seem to find anything helpful as of now.

I found some potential solutions on app exchange but they seem to go out of budget. don't understand the logic behind subscription fees and then pay on use.

Could you guys please help me with some guidance?

@sakshi nagpal , Thanks for the kind response so we are going in for SFDC enterprise, however as per account exec, it's not natively available in India.

Thanks for sharing that link, I have gone through it, in the "Dialer Limitations tab"  it says outgoing calls are available only in US & Canada.

Can you guide me in the right direction?

Theres no obvious way or button that says "view past 50 recently logged calls/emails" etc. My managers tell us we have made X calls and Y emails this past month and produce pretty charts of all of our activity numbers but I have no idea if my logged calls are being recorded or when the last call/email to whom was made? Help!

    Hi KM,

If you have permissions, you could create a report that would show that data.

You will most likely be looking at "Tasks and Events" standard report type
