#Douyin0 debatiendo

Everyone knows Wechat is the essential communication tool in China and Alibaba is the essential ecommerce platform, but what are the up and coming platforms?

Douyin has taken the headlines, but don't overlook Bilibili.

Bilibili has high penetration among Chinese youth (less than 21 years old) and its users are willing to spend money. Short video + livestreaming + strong online communities = big potential.

Won't be long before someone creates a Bilibili app for Marketing Cloud.

  • WeChat also released the data of miniprograms during the pandemic period. From January 20 to February 8, the orders of fresh groceries increased by 149%, and the number of transactions in community-based e-commerce surged 322% year-on-year.

  • Short video platforms experienced a surge of traffic during this period. Over 40% of interviewees said they spent significantly longer time on the platforms than before. Other media platforms such as news, social media and online music also saw increased user time with at least 26% of interviewees staying longer in their apps.
