#Android0 debatiendo

Hi All,

Has anyone found a way of emulating the FSL Mobile Android app on your Windows desktop?  I'm looking to do some hands on training of utilizing our FSL mobile app, but haven't found a steady way of either projecting my Android onto windows PC or emulating the FSL Android mobile app on a Windows machine.  Anyone had any luck in this area?

Thanks!

I use any desk for such purposes. Sometimes also create google meet and join from both device while sharing from mobile when window device is not mine and I couldn’t install any desk

Hi, previously posted in the *Salesforce Mobile* group but thought this might be a better place for it.

Currently, when accessing the standard login screen on mobile, with Android's Edge-to-edge (

https://developer.android.com/design/ui/mobile/guides/layout-and-content/edge-to-edge) enforced, means my top android bar (icons for battery, time, etc) all appear to disappear as they're white on white.    With our custom mobile apps this isn't an issue for once you're "in" an app as we cater for this with CSS, but during login I don't think I have the power to alter this.    I'm asking here as I would think that anyone going through the standard login.salesforce.com page (and forgotten password, etc) would have issues on Android Edge-to-edge enforced apps (which will be the default in the future). So in essence affecting anyone using the Mobile SDK, or mobile publisher (if not going via a community).    Can anyone from the Salesforce team confirm that they're aware of Android's edge-to-edge, and that the needed changes (I think just CSS) will be in place on these standard pages?

What version of Mobile SDK are you experiencing issues with?  Android 15/API 15, including Edge to Edge, is supported from 12.2 onward.  I added a fix for the exact thing it sounds like you are describing in 13.0.1 (after the 13.0 Login UI redesign).

Thanks for making this change. I figured out one important point involving this change. I'm posting here for anyone's benefit. Though it would be helpful if Salesforce would make this concept easier to understand. The PIN Length is obsolete and is completely ignored. However, Lock App After is largely ignored because it is nearly obsolete. The Lock App After setting has one remaining purpose. As long as any number is selected (instead of "None") for Lock App After, the device's biometrics (example: Face ID) or the device's Passcode will always be required to unlock the Salesforce mobile app. Therefore, any time the logged-in app is left (screen locked or went to a different app without quitting it) and then the user comes back to the app, biometrics/Passcode is required for unlocking.

Can I ask the Salesforce why the option to customize the Android login screen programmatically is not available?  We can control the iOS login screen programmatically, see https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.mobile_sdk.meta/mobile_sdk/oauth_hide_gear_icon.htm .

Hi All and Happy Friday

I have a few users reporting an error on the SFS (FSL) Mobile App notification screen on Android devices.

They are reporting that they are not receiving any notifications when service appointments are being Dispatched to them and when they check the notification screen they see an error on the device.

"Unable to Decrypt"

Has anyone encountered this before?

This project involves building a Flow that leverages the Decision, Assignment, and Action elements. The result: Custom notifications on your phone that trigger when an opportunity is within 7 days of closing!

You can apply this knowledge to create your own notifications on a standard or custom object and trigger on whatever you fancy.

Hello everyone

Is there any possibility to filter search results of "products" when searched via the FSL-App? As we have more than 400k products available the usability of search results for our users out in the field is very poor. Our idea would be to flag relevant products with e.g. a custom field and only show search results which meet this criteria.

Any ideas on this topic? Many thanks in advance!

Regards

Moritz

Hello @Patrick Brinksma I have a question about The Field Service Application. I used an Iphone and an Android mobile phone. When I am on a Service appointment, and I want to get the road route back, I select Waze, a navigation application. The road route is proposed on my Iphone, but not in my Android phone. Can you tell me how can I get the information back on my Android phone?  Is it possible to get it like the Iphone?
