Hi Trailblazers,

Salesforce Flow is already powerful enough to handle many business requirements without writing code.

My question is, can we build a complete Agentforce solution using only Flows and standard configurations?

In which situations do we really need Apex, custom actions, or Agent Script?

Would love to know the practical limitations of using only Flows in real projects.

    Hi @Pavan Kumar Gandi

Hi Good question! Yes, we can build many Agentforce solutions using Flows and standard configurations without writing Apex. But Flow alone may not cover every requirement.

    When to use each option:

    1. Flow – Create/update records, automate business processes, and retrieve Salesforce data.
    2. Apex – Handle complex business logic, large data volumes, and custom integrations.
    3. Custom Actions – Allow Agentforce to perform specific business operations using Flow, Apex, or other supported sources.
    4. Agent Script – Control agent behavior, conditions, action execution, and subagent routing.

    Real-Time Example:

An Employee Agent creates a leave request using Flow. If complex leave calculations are required, Apex can help. Agent Script can control when certain actions should run.

    My View:

Start with Flow and standard actions. Use Apex when Flow becomes difficult to manage, and Agent Script when you need more control over agent behavior.

Use Flow for simple automation, Apex for complex logic, and Agent Script for controlling agent behavior. Choose based on the business requirement.
