I'm having a persistent issue with the "Filter Your Report" challenge in the "Reports & Dashboards for Lightning Experience" module.
Despite following all instructions, I keep receiving the error: "The filter for 'Sector' equal to Energy could not be found in the 'Case Status' report."
Here is what I've already tried:
- Renamed the report to Cases by Status and ensured the Unique Name is Cases_by_Status.
- Verified the filters:
- Industry equals Energy
- Industry equals Electronics
- Status not equal to Escalated
- Type equals Structural
- Applied Filter Logic: (1 OR 2) AND 3 AND NOT 4.
- Saved the report in the Public Reports folder.
- Switched Org language between Portuguese and English, but the error persists (sometimes mentioning 'Sector', sometimes 'Industry').
- Created a brand new Playground and recreated the report from scratch.
Even with the correct report name and filters, the validator seems to be looking for a report named "Case Status" or a field named "Sector" that doesn't match the UI.
Any tips on how to bypass this metadata mismatch? Thanks!

Hi Luciano, it sounds like the issue may be with the report metadata/validator rather than the filter logic itself.
One thing I’d double-check is the field used for the first two filters. The challenge validator may be expecting the field/label from the original challenge report, so changing the report or recreating it from scratch can sometimes cause the validation to fail.
I’d recommend opening the original Case Status report and checking the exact field names and filter values against the challenge instructions, then save it with the required name and unique name.
If you’ve already verified all of that and the validator is still looking for “Sector” instead of “Industry”, could you share a screenshot of the report’s Filters and Filter Logic? That would help confirm exactly what the validator is seeing.
