We have been creating service Quotes from Cases by creating a linked dummy opportunity which contains the native Account connection. Was planning to remove that using the quote without opportunity and linking to the "Account for Quote" instead.
I just dont find a way to get the various Account details onto the quote template, like Account Address etc. Do I need to create a dirty work around pulling that through custom fields that have a formula pointing at those details?
We have been running quotes with a dummy opportunity and it works OK but is a headache if our staff selects the wrong account in beginning since it can then only be changed through the opportunity.
I was trying to get "Quote without Opportunity" to work which is available in the quote section.
This activates a new Account field called "Account for Quote" which works great in many aspects completely independent of an Opportunity. The quote even starts showing up as related quote on the account tab etc.
But in the quote template designer I can only pull the Account name as "Account for Quote"
The details that are under the Account tab does not exist since the quote is now linked througth the Account for Quote. Adding the Account address as part of the quote header is therefore not possible OOTB. Considering making custom fields for these things to make them appear under the Quote but would prefer if there is a standard way.
Since Salesforce has released this support without Opportunity, there mus be a way to actually use it also on the printed document.
