Salesforce Platform vs Salesforce vs Force.something

Question

Any tips on getting my head around all the different product names/licences? I am studying towards Admin Accreditation but I keep getting confused by selecting Salesforce Platform instead of Salesforce in profile settings... tips?

Hi Anya,   Salesforce:   Full access to standard CRM, custom apps, and AppExchange apps.   Salesforce Platform   Custom apps & core objects (Accounts, Contacts, etc) only; no CRM (no Opportunities or Forecasts).   Force.com – One App   One custom app & read-only for accounts and Contacts; no CRM.   Thanks
