Too many overlapping keynotes I think. I don't see it on the live schedule but wouldn't hurt to check the day of - things change!

Hi,

I am trying to add the Learning Program Summary component on the Learning Program Lightning Flexi page for Internal users. The problem that I am running into is that this component is always blank (only the header/title is rendered)  However, When I provide "View All" access in the permission set, It works!

I also tried giving read/edit access to the Learning objects but still unsuccessful. Please let me know if there is anyway to fix the component without giving the View All data permission.

Realized that staff user needs access to Product to be able to see the Learning Program Summary component.

Hello Education Cloud Community,

I am currently working on setting up Education Cloud and have encountered an access and permission-related issue. Some users are unable to access the required features or resources, and I would appreciate guidance on troubleshooting the setup.

Could anyone share best practices for reviewing user permissions, permission sets, profiles, or any specific Education Cloud configurations that should be verified to resolve access issues?

Any recommendations, documentation references, or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Hi Saqib - happy to give you a systematic way to run this down. The single most common cause of 'some users can't access Education Cloud features' is a missing Permission Set License, so I'd start there and then work through the access layers in order.

    1. Permission Set Licenses first. Education Cloud features are gated behind permission set licenses (PSLs) - the feature-specific permission set grants nothing until the matching PSL is assigned to the user. Check Setup > Users > [the user] > Permission Set License Assignments and confirm the Education Cloud PSL(s) are there. This is the step people miss most.

    2. Then the permission sets / permission set groups. Confirm the user has the standard Education Cloud permission sets assigned (the product ships persona-based sets), and that they grant object CRUD, field-level security on the fields in question, and any system/feature permissions the feature needs.

    3. Separate 'can't see the object/tab' from 'can't see the records'. If they can't open the object or tab at all, it's CRUD / tab visibility / PSL / app assignment. If they can open it but see no records, it's record access - org-wide defaults, sharing rules, role hierarchy, or sharing sets for Experience users. Treating those two symptoms differently saves a lot of time.

    4. App + Lightning page. Make sure the right app and tabs are visible to their profile, and that the Lightning record/home page showing the feature is actually assigned to their app/profile - a component can silently disappear if the page assignment doesn't cover them.

    5. Fastest diagnostic: Login As the affected user (if enabled) and reproduce - you'll see exactly what's missing far quicker than auditing config.

If you can share the specific feature/object they can't reach and whether they get 'insufficient privileges', a blank tab, or empty records, I can point you straight at the layer. The Salesforce Help 'Education Cloud' setup docs also list the exact PSLs and permission sets per feature.

Hope that helps you narrow it down!

⛰️ 🔐 New Hands-on Workshop for Premier & Signature Admins: Secure the Org: Find and Fix Vulnerabilities (ADX012)

Misconfigured security settings are one of the leading causes of data breaches. In this 90-minute instructor-led workshop, you'll step into the role of an internal security auditor to identify and fix real Salesforce vulnerabilities across the most common misconfiguration areas.

  • Newer admins — you'll find the challenges approachable and manageable. The hands-on format makes security feel less daunting and more actionable
  • Seasoned practitioners — you'll likely discover security settings you haven't previously been aware of
  • All learners — challenges are independent of each other, so you can move at your own pace, skip ahead, and circle back with no pressure

Sessions are live and available!

Hello,

Education Cloud schools....we currently have all of our applications developed in one Omniscript, which is hosted on an Experience Cloud site.  We would love to hear what other schools are doing.  What technology did you develop the application in (ex: Omnistudio, Salesforce Forms, FormAssembly)?  How many applications and sites/portals do you have?  For example, do you have one application that handles all student types or separate applications?

We would like to gauge how other schools are handling their applications, so any information would be helpful.

Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone, I’m looking to start learning Salesforce Education Cloud. Could you please recommend the best place to begin?

I’d also like to understand the relationship between Education Cloud and OmniStudio. There don’t seem to be many training courses available, so I’d appreciate any resources or guidance.

We are moving from EDA to Education Cloud and want to get some of my staff some early awareness around the tool so that they can help create training for our staff in the future.

@Martha Fernandez much of the content on trailhead is EDA related but some has been updated.  That being said ED Cloud has heavy use of omnistudio so I always recommend making sure you get up to speed with that.  Beyond that you will really want to dig into the ERD to understand what all of the objects are and how to use them properly.

How many hours needed for Agentforce Education implementation for a university?

    @Samira Asfour

that’s too vague of a question to answer properly. Reach out to Jason Z to see if y’all can high level scope it and then t-shirt size it.

A University like any business entity, has different needs and different requirements and differing levels of readiness to apply Salesforce into its techstack.
