We are thrilled to announce that Spring ‘23 delivers the general availability of our next generation Education Cloud product, built on core!  The launch of Education Cloud brings a new era of innovation and scalability to our customers worldwide. This foundational release focuses on three main areas: a reimagined app to support Recruitment & Admissions, a new data foundation that is built to support the complete learner journey, and a capability model that enables an institution-wide approach to common services.

 

The following are key highlights of the release:

 

Recruitment & Admissions App:

  • Recruiters, admissions staff, and directors can organize and focus on critical tasks, while visualizing key data to make informed decisions with User Consoles views, powered by CRM Analytics
  • Engage with leads using Request for Information forms, and nurture prospects with Actionable Lists, to segment prospects on any criteria
  • Keep applicants engaged and informed using the Applicant Portal Template 
  • Build program specific applicant experiences with OmniStudio, increase time to value with our Application Template, and collect and manage files using Document Checklist Items. 
  • Streamline application processing in the Application Workspace, while increasing staff capacity and efficiency
  • Schedule admissions interviews, or other one-on-one appointments with education specific capabilities powered by Salesforce Scheduler. 
  • Onboard students with Care Plans to reduce summer melt

New Data Model for Complete Learner Journey:

  • Manage the full learner lifecycle by leveraging person accounts, with new objects that track the various constituent roles for an individual, along with enhanced contact and relationship details.
  • Support both standard and next generation learning with our flexible learning programs model which supports traditional degree programs, alongside badges, certificates, and other micro-credentials. Tie your various programs to learning achievements and track learner progress and outcomes.
  • Capture key details from the first interaction with a new recruit, and build on those data with our comprehensive recruiting & admissions model that includes application intake and processing, through enrollment.
  • Surround your applicants and students with support leveraging success teams, care plans, and appointments.

Accounting Subledger on Core:

  • A new version of Accounting Subledger is now also generally available as part of the Education Cloud SKU
  • Accounting Subledger uses one of the common components highlighted below, the Data Processing Engine, to reduce time spent preparing financial data.
  • This ultimately allows for quicker processing and empowers institutions to spend less time reconciling data across multiple systems.

New Capabilities:

  • This foundational release includes other capabilities that can be leveraged across the institution. In future releases these will be extended for education specific use cases but are included to expand the possibilities of Education Cloud implementations:
    • Alert Framework: Ensure students never miss an update or deadline with triggered notifications and reminders.
    • Business Rules Engine: Reduce time spent on manual lookups and calculations by designing complex business rules with automated workflows. 
    • Case Management: Create a seamless one-stop-shop for students to get the support they need, when they need it.
    • Data Processing Engine: Transform student and institutional data found across Salesforce into actionable records.
    • Document Generation: Easily generate both PDF and Word documents using Salesforce and external data sources, right from the platform.
    • Identity Verification: Reduce student support call times with a standardized identity verification process that can be tailored to specific use cases, provide audit trails, and combat identity fraud.
    • Interaction Summary: Easily collaborate across departments by capturing and sharing structured meeting notes, including attendees, dates, and content.
    • Interest Tags: Capture client needs and interests with custom tags. Easily create reports and dashboards showing common themes to design personalized outreach at scale.
    • Timeline View: Allow students and staff to reference applications and past interactions to evaluate progress.
