This is a public group for discussion around the Agentforce Nonprofit product (formerly called Nonprofit Cloud) which was launched in March 2023. This is a new purpose-built solution built on the Salesforce Platform for Nonprofits. Use this group for questions and discussion about the Nonprofit Cloud. NOTE: Agentforce Nonprofit uses a different architecture than the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). So if you are a current customer and want the new functionality, you will need to implement in a new org.

Structure of a Program

    These are reading to me more like outcomes than Programs or Benefits. What is something that your constituents can specifically experience, join, receive, hold, etc. coming out of these programs? That's the Benefit(s).  

     

    There's a new Implementation Guide for Program Management that recently came out. I suggest you read through and follow its suggested structure. That should help you think through how to map the structure.

Help on Benefit Schedules

Hi, is there a Help source or document on how to set up Benefit Schedules and Assignments in AFNP? I suppose there is the Trailhead information, but is that enough?

    Benefit schedules can be a tricky beast to get your head around in Nonprofit Cloud. The Program Management Implementation Guide is certainly worth having to hand, although practical examples can sometimes make more sense than documentation alone. The Trailhead modules covering attendance and benefit tracking should help with the fundamentals. I think the most important part is understanding how benefit schedules connect with programme participation and outcome measurement. There is a dedicated Trailhead module covering attendance and benefit tracking in Nonprofit Cloud that should address the core questions. If you are still stuck afterwards, similar Trailblazer Community discussions may also offer useful screenshots and examples.

    What a fantastic roundup, Lizzy! The Dreamforce 2 U initiative is an absolute gem for those of us who cannot make it to San Francisco. Having free local events in ten cities shows that Salesforce understands community building happens everywhere, not just at the mothership. The Amsterdam Sprint is another brilliant opportunity, and it does not come around often, so European colleagues should definitely take advantage. The Agents of Impact Accelerator deadline on September 18 is also worth marking on the calendar. I would add that the 50 percent certification vouchers for nonprofit staff are often overlooked. Many people do not realise how accessible the programme can be. Thanks for pulling all this together.

Dashboards for Program Management

Hi - I've been asked to create some dashboards for the Program Management app. 

Does anyone have suggestions for useful dashboards, and where can I find them?

    Program management dashboards are most effective when they start with clear questions rather than simply putting lots of data on a screen. The key is identifying what programme managers actually need to see daily, weekly, and monthly. For organisations still developing their data structure, getting the report types right before designing dashboards can save a lot of rework. The Nonprofit Cloud Best Practices Open Source group also has examples that can be adapted to different needs. Trailhead has several modules covering dashboard creation too. I would start simple, see what people actually use, and add complexity only when there is a clear reason for it.

Please does know a good a good card scan app they can recommend for a non profit Org

Please I am need of help with a good recommendation for a scan app that permit for quick and acurate scanning of business cards and event badge information into the salesforce org directly. Thank you

    If you want to scan business cards and event badges directly into Salesforce, I would look at Salesforce-compatible tools such as ScanBizCards or Lead Capture apps available through AppExchange. The important thing is checking how well they handle duplicate detection and field mapping before choosing one. For events, I would prioritise a tool that can scan offline and sync automatically once connected. A small test with your actual badges and cards is probably the best way to judge accuracy.

Just starting out with Agentforce Nonprofit (AFNP)? Getting stakeholder management right — individuals, households, relationships, affiliations — is one of the hardest parts of a new implementation. There are a lot of objects, a lot of settings, and a lot of choices to make at once. 

 

The Stakeholder Management Quick Start is a free, open-source Global Public Sector Accelerator built specifically for new AFNP customers. It installs an unmanaged package with best-practice configuration already in place — so admins can focus on their organization's needs instead of figuring out the plumbing. 

 

Who is this for?

 Admins and implementation teams starting a new Agentforce Nonprofit implementation who need the stakeholder data model set up correctly from day one. 

 

Why was this built?

The AFNP stakeholder model — households, relationships, affiliations, contact points — requires dozens of interconnected decisions before staff can use it effectively. Without a clear starting point, implementations often end up with duplicate records, broken address syncs, and cleanup debt that builds silently for months. Does anyone currently have an NPC to Sage Intacct integration (custom or via AppExchange)?

We are exploring connecting Salesforce NPC to Sage Intacct (a one way integration). Does anyone in this group currently have an integration set up from NPC to Intacct, whether it's via the AppExchange or custom built? Would love to connect!

Salesforce Platform / Sales Cloud / Service Cloud / Digital Engagement

Hi Salesforce Community,

I am working with Tamas Society, an Indian nonprofit organisation. We have received Salesforce Enterprise Edition (10 donated users) through the Salesforce nonprofit programme.

We want to integrate WhatsApp with Salesforce so that we can:

  1.  Capture WhatsApp enquiries as Salesforce Leads/Contacts. 
  2.  Maintain the WhatsApp conversation against the Lead/Contact record. 
  3.  Automatically assign enquiries to the appropriate team member. 
  4.  Send automated/approved WhatsApp messages from Salesforce. 
  5.  Eventually connect WhatsApp enquiries to our Sales/Export pipeline. 

My question: Does our donated Salesforce Enterprise license include the required Messaging / Digital Engagement / WhatsApp functionality, or do we need an additional Salesforce product/license?

If an additional product is required, are there any free or discounted nonprofit options available through the Salesforce nonprofit programme?

I would particularly appreciate guidance on the exact setup path and any additional licenses/entitlements we should request.

Interaction Summaries vs. Activity

Hello! 

I'm trying to learn more about Agentforce Nonprofit. Interaction Summaries seem pretty similar to adding call notes or meeting notes on Activities. With Action Plans, it seems like AFNP wants folks to also be using Activities for tracking calls and meetings. Any theories or insights on the benefits of having this separate object?  

One thing that seems odd to me - I'm seeing you can add a "Related Record" but Task/Event aren't options. I would think you'd want to be able to connect meeting notes in an Interaction Summary with the actual meeting record.  

It also seems redundant with the Participants related list - that's just like adding multiple invitees to an Event.  

So far my guess is that this object is meant to get around some of the existing limitations and setup of Activities. Like how Activities are auto-archived. I'm seeing in a description of Interaction Summaries that they are "secure, permanent records". So they're not auto-archived, and maybe you can get more granular security with them?  

At a glance, this seems like a clunky design decision to have both objects and no automated or built-in connection between them (that I've seen yet) like creating/generating an interaction summary from the Activity record. Would love to hear about other people's experience or insights working with this object: does having these separate objects make sense to you? Or have you found them clunky (and if so, what are you doing to deal?)?

    Your theory about Interaction Summaries being a more durable layer than Activities makes sense. This is especially true if they are designed as secure, permanent records rather than operational activity logs. It also makes me think there’s an opportunity for the Nonprofit Check Plus API to add value by automatically validating nonprofit information and enriching the context captured from those interactions. The missing piece, to me, is an automated connection between the Activity record, Interaction Summary, and verified nonprofit data. This ensures staff are not maintaining three separate sources manually.
