I am unable to connect to teradata via teradata and odbc both. though other tools can connect to it successfully

I am unable to connect to teradata via teradata and odbc both. though other tools can connect to it successfully. i tried multiple options available withing tableau like with encryption and without encryption but in vain. i get below error,Unable to complete action 

Bad Connection: Tableau could not connect to the data source. 

Error Code: B19090E0 

[Teradata][ODBC Teradata Driver] (5) State transition failed. 

Unable to connect to the Teradata server "fazcs2td.res.ad.crs". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database. any help appreciated
