Hi Tableau Community 👋

I’m currently working with a table called "Original", which contains around 1 billion rows of historical data. I’ve already pulled this data into Tableau and built dashboards based on it.

Recently, I was given a new requirement:

The data source gets frequent updates, and now I only need to refresh the last 7 days of data to keep my dashboards up to date.

🔁 Because updates happen quite often and the dataset is huge, I’m looking for a way to avoid using a full refresh every time — it’s not efficient or practical.

My question is: How can I design a Tableau Prep flow that automatically filters and processes only the last 7 days of data whenever the flow runs?

Any ideas or suggestions from those who’ve faced a similar scenario would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance 🙏

IF NOT 'Prep' THEN 'Incremental Refresh' END ;-)
