Hi Friends!

I have always said I didn't want to be a consultant but love the BA role.

Imagine you are on a team with both a BA and a consultant. How would you explain the difference between a BA and a consultant in regards to tasks, responsibilities and functions?

Skip the "Well, sometimes you are both, depends upon the role, team, project, etc..."

What makes you want to be a BA instead of a consultant?

A Business Analyst mainly focuses on understanding business needs, gathering requirements, and documenting processes, while a Consultant focuses on recommending and implementing the right Salesforce solutions. In a Salesforce project, the BA identifies what the business needs, while the consultant determines how Salesforce can meet those needs

Companies can work with providers like Plumlogix, Deloitte, or Accenture to turn business requirements into practical Salesforce solutions. These consulting firms can support areas such as implementation, customization, automation, integration, and digital transformation.
