Has anyone encountered the requirement to change the label of opportunity stage names picklist values?
For instance, changing 'Qualification' stagename to 'Discovery'?
I'm considering two approaches:
1) Creating a new stage called 'Discovery' and using the 'Replace' function to switch existing 'Qualification' records. However, I'm concerned about the impact on reports, especially those tracking stage duration, and the effort of updating metadata across the org.
3) In ideaexchange article somone have suggested to use Translation Workbench, but I'm unsure about the implications. The positive is that it doesn't require changing the API name, thus avoiding metadata changes and report issues. What potential negatives could this hold?
