Use Apex To Work With Data Challenge Visual Studio

I'm running into issues with this challenge: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/lightning-web-components-and-salesforce-data/use-apex-to-work-with-data?trail_id=force_com_dev_intermediate. 

As far as I can tell, I have replaced all the "Account" references from the example with "Contact", but I still can't compile the code in Visual Studio. I get the following errors:

ContactController.cls

* Illegal conversion from List<Contact> to List<Account> (4:9)
