We recently have had some private chatter groups auto-archive because of lack of posts (these groups mostly use at mentioning to share updates from other chatter users into their regional groups to keep their team on the same page which does not meet the criteria for a post within 90 days - this is understood). The problem is, these groups were reactivated, the group owner posted in the group immediately, and within just a few days, the group was automatically archived again - any thoughts on why or how to prevent this second archiving that is happening within days of reactivation? #Chatter Groups
We are facing the same issue, do we know the reason why the chatter groups would get archived again in few days after re-activating them?
Update : I have checked this with salesforce support and it seems that as there is no activity on chatter group after activating, it got picked up on salesforce's weekly run which checks if there is any activity in past 90 days and if not it deactivates the chatter group again.
