Our org is preparing for an integration with Give Lively (GL). Reading their documentation, a few things worry me: they have their own "Type" field for Opportunity and Campaign, but these will clash with our own "Type" fields in Salesforce on the same objects. They also auto-update the acknowledgement fields, but we want to keep those blank to track our own acknowledgement activity. For those who have done the integration, were you able to change GL's field labels and opt out of some field updates? Thank you.
Edit: For the sync to work I also have to disable the State and Country/Territory Picklists in Salesforce because GL uses a different set of country codes. This is not cool. We sometimes have to manually enter data in SF, so with the picklist disabled we'll have a list of inconsistent country/state names like USA, US, United States. In future if we decide to enable the picklist again, we'll have to scan our org and clean up inconsistent data first. All this work just because GL doesn't want to use the same country codes as SF?
