I was looking your error . Now I am conclude that ,

For lookup fields we have two value in the list. One will be named like Hiring Manager > which will show the fields of the Hiring Manager object. The other one will be Hiring Manager. You have to select the latter one unless you want any specific field from Hiring manager object like Name, Email etc.
