Marketing Cloud 'Locale' field in DE:
In a standard DE, I have added a 'Locale' type field. This DE already has data. I want to give a default value to the 'locale' field which is same for all records. The default value field is inactive and not letting me define a value. Is it always inactive? What is way out to put a value in it?

From what you are saying and what I am seeing in Marketing Cloud the last few days seems to be a problem with Contact Builder and the order in which the field data is filled. Have you tried creating the field in Email Studio?
