I am using dataflow and I want to filter the Dated Conversion Rate table based upon the close date in the Opportunity SObject.   In other words I want to get the currency rate for an opportunity based on the close date. How do I do this in a dataflow?   #Wavetechlounge  #WA-Answer  #AskTheACExperts  #Ask Salesforce Anything  @Daniel Glogowski  @Ziad Fayad @Mustapha El Hassak @Ed Sandoval #Multi Currency

Is it possible to dynamically set the start property (Initial Date Value) or set the date value to the Date widget ?  eg. I have list that shows snapshot dates and each time they select a snapshot date, I want to set the date widget to that snapshot date then the user can change it as they wish ?@* CRM Analytics (fka Tableau CRM) * #AskTheACExperts  #WA-Answer  #WAVE Analytics

While working with embedded dashboard filters, I encountered an unexpected result and wanted some feedback.

Here is a simple example to illustrate what I found.  I created a simple dashboard on opportunities with a List Filter on Name and a chart of count that is Won.

The Opportunity Name filter is set to Single Selection (required), which is where the unexpected results occur.  I do not have a start value assigned to the List Filter.

I embedded the dashboard into a Lighting Page on Accounts.  I also set a filter with the new syntax - {'datasets':{'opportunity':[{'fields':['Name'], 'filter':{'operator': 'matches', 'values':['$Name']}}]}}

When viewing an Opportunity, the List Filter is set to the first Opportunity based on alphabetical sort.  When this is a different Opportunity than the first one listed alphabetically, no results are found.

It seems the filter condition is being applied after the first item in the list is selected, rather than filtering and selecting the first option.

The filter works as expected when the new filter is used as a selection rather than a filter - {'datasets' : {'opportunity': [ {'fields': ['Name'], 'selection': ['$Name']}]}}

While I understand why this occurs, it seems like the filter should be smart enough to apply the condition from the Lighting page before make a selection.

Screen shots with both filter and selection attached - top is filter, bottom is selection.

    Hi Carl, this issue should have been addressed in Winter '18 release. Filter criteria are now applied before selection criteria.

Hi All,

I have a lens that I created that is a bar chart and shows call activity by marketing rep.  Measure = count of rows, group by = "Assigned To" & "Call Type".  I would like to sum all calls  by marketing rep.  Is there a way to do this in Wave?  I have tried making it a compare chart but that's not working for me either.  Any ideas on how to accomplish this? I have attached an example of what I am trying to accomplish.

Thank You!
