Hi, I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on what is the correct steps to remove really old data if you have Opportunities, Recurring donations, Payments, Installments, Contacts, Household accounts, Payment profiles, Inbound reports, Memberships, SMS history. I would like to think I could do this as a flow so that once a year old data is automatically removed so keeps my database really clean, tidy and keeps the program quick in response. Any information is greatly appreciated.

    Heya Lorraine!

I think automatically deleting once a year is not the ideal solution!

    At least not for everything.

Do you have some alternative place where you are storing donations/payments?

Why would you want to delete Contacts and Households?

I have a lot more questions than answers hahaha

The general answer I suggest for orgs that want to do ongoing automatic deletion is:

    - Determine the criteria for deletion

    - Build a formula field checkbox that is true when the record should be deleted

    - Set up a daily flow that deletes all records that meet the criteria

This prevents a single day where EVERYTHING is deleted

Bare in mind, this functions well for records that don't need to be retained long term.

For donations/payments I would first suggest exporting the data somewhere off-Salesforce before permanent deletion

ALSO deleting a bunch in one day over-crowds the recycle bin which means there is no recovery for most of it.

Are you using any backup provider at the moment?

Lastly - this is a big topic ahahah, if you wanted to jump on a call to discuss in more detail I would be happy to find time. Poke me here in the DMs :)

I have a flow screen where I want to make a section only visible if the quick choice value does not start with a string.  Other fields react to the values chosen, but not the visibility.

editWOfaultCode is the screen quick choice field.

My formula is boolean, BEGINS( {!editWOfaultCode.value}, "Part Needed for"  ).

Then the field's visibility checks that the above formula is false before making it visible.

However, the field remains visible no matter what I do.  I can create a checkbox field on the screen, set it to this boolean formula's value, and then set the visibility based on this checkbox field.  However, then I have an extra field on the screen and making it not visible renders it useless.

Any ideas?  I'm trying to avoid navigating to another screen.

Reactive formulas do not apply to visibility on a Flow screen.  To get around this I've created a reactive screen component whose output can be used for conditional visibility.  Just pass your formula in as input and use the output for the conditional visibility setting for the section.  It is included in the FlowScreenComponentsBasePack.  See this video for a sample use case.

My question for the MVP team is if anyone could take us through the newly announced Claudforce - how heavy is the lift to implement, what's invovled - could anyone demo it or speak to it's functionality, drawbacks etc.? We can of course ask Salesforce for a demo next but I want to do some research first. Anything the team can share about this new solution via Slack? Our leadership is interested for sure in this specifically for Sales.  I will join Friday's call in the hopes of learning more about ClaudForce from this team.

Thank you so much for this blog post! It explains why resetting people's passwords in our sandbox became a major task. Resets now look like logging in as them, changing the email to one I control, accepting the email change, resetting their password, and giving them the password so that they can log in and change their email address. Otherwise, with the .invald at the end of their username, there's no way to get them in if they've forgotten their password.

Hi - have a quick - sort of easy one - for today if possible :)

Question - is dark mode available now? I know it was in Beta but thought it should be available now as of Summer 26?

This one is more a "survey" - anyone using the slds2 cosmos theme? - if so any visual issues or break any of your custom functionality?

Again - not a huge priority if there are others that have more pressing "technical" things - thanks!!!
