I've installed VS Code, but when I go to View > Command Pallette I am missing Git: Clone

Verify if github is installed on your PC or not. Open CMD in your pc and type git and hit enter. If you see message command not found then it is not installed. The next step is to install. See guide here https://github.com/git-guides/install-git
